- in this video I want to give some attention to what I believe to be the best budget Casio watch for the smaller wrist. Especially with the toned down colour schemes in the printing on the dial, it really looks stunning on wrist. It comes with all the functionality you will need on a daily basis: time, perpetual calendar, five different alarms, countdown timer, stopwatch and dual time. it has a 3 bar water resistance, but given that it is a Casio, I expect it to perform better than that. I even like how Casio stays true to its plastic with the plastic buckle on the plastic strap. The only gripe I have is that the gold and silver is painted on, so if you scratch the case the white resin underneath will probably shine through.
I the video I tried to show the white resin underneath shining through at the edge of the display. although I think I was more successful there than I initially thought, the best way to see it is on the inside of the lugs, where the case hasn't been painted. for the people into modding, this would mean in theory that if you were to remove all of the silver or gold paint from the watch, you can have a white case, or so I assume.
I made a mistake. the reference number of the Bronze watch is w-217H instead of the mentioned w-271H. I messed the numbers up.
Turns out the bronze Coloured watch has been painted also, but some different type of paint is used. Also it is done on a dark coloured resin, which is why the light doesn't shine through.
Casio square-ish digital watches usually have horizontal orientation. F201 is unique because it has vertical one.
Not really unique, but scarce. The W-800 also has a more vertical orientation. Most however, like you said, do not. I like it's setup quite a lot.
