- Casio is famous for the Square, Royale, and the 'Back to the Future' calculator watches. In this video, the F201 carves it's spot in Casio affordability. With 5 alarms (all programmable for an entire month, a day specific day of the month, or specific day/date) timer, stopwatch, dual time, quality light, and excellent pushers, this watch is a highly recommend...however, there is that one big thing...so close. What sleeper Casios do you recommend?

I don't get why this one doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Roughly the same price as the F91 but packed with a better back light and features.
Absolutely!
F91 is more fashion
I love this watch! I wear it daily. It took the Number 1 spot away from my Casio W93H. I wanted something slim like the F91, but with a countdown timer, more than 1 alarm, and a better backlight. The F201 fit the bill. I checked out your Grey Man W800 video and I'm going to add that one to my collection, too.
Good choice! The F201 'jet' is awesome.
fortunately, my mom bought me this model. my first casio. 2004 6th grade. so nostalgic.
That's a great story...These watches last for a very very long time. I like this model for it's alarms...outstanding programmable alarms! Have a great week!
For the price, there’s really nothing worth complaining about!
Great point. It fits a niche.
Hey Tim
Such an enjoyable and informative video
Keep up the great work and bloopers
Best Regards
Thanks, will do!
Just got the F201w a few day’s ago for work, and I think I found my official work watch! I love that there are 5 alarms because I normally need at least 3 during my shift. Water resistance is not a problem for me because I only deal with accidental splashes at work. I actually like how small it is because I have a smaller wrist, also more convenient for my job. I also have 2 w800h’s, both the original and blackout version and love those also! Don’t know much about the 200, still pondering on that one 😃
The f201 has a better display layout. Theres isn’t a status wheel taking up space. I just picked up a W201 with a negative display and it has 50m WR. First negative display. I think I need to give this watch some time to get used to a negative display. Greyman W800 is an excellent watch. The negative display F201 might edge out my Greyman as the favorite because of 5 alarms, timer that doesn’t need to be hacked into existence, and the alarms can be programmed for a specific date, month, date in a month. Irk you said, the F201 is a very compact package!
One of the greatest low priced beaters, in the market, as we speak. Packed with functions, as well. Only con is the water resist 30m, but Casio tends to undermine their own wr, meaning that it can handle easily a shower rain, which does it for me, as a beater watch.
Nice and objective review, also.
Thank you and I agree on ALL your points.
Several videos here in RUclips showing F-91 diving at 30 mts deep in the ocean prove Casio underrate the WR on their watches. As soon as you don't operate the buttons while submerged, the watch will be fine if you swim with it.
Saw a video where guy took a casio f-91, filled with mineral oil and was good for 200m.
Ive heard about that with the F91. I tried to oil fill an MRW200 and just couldn’t keep from getting lots of small bubbles. Frustrating. I’ve also heard you can read the display or dial from a wider angle.
I just find a gold and silver version of this watch too 😃
I like the gold accent version. Take care.
Cheers! I have a A163WA which only says WR (splash resistant), however I bathe in the evening with it, wash the car, and do other stuff around home/garden which implies submerging it. So their water resistance quality is much better than what they state on the case.
That's a great watch...I have the A163 on my radar for a future review. I agree on the water resistance. If I can, I prefer to have 50m WR or better for peace of mind. I'm simply not very careful with my Casios. Have a great weekend! Cheers.
I picked one up recently for under 15 on Amazon. Functional, but too plain to really enjoy, IMO!
Understood! Have a great week.
Seems like the module is very similar to the Greyman's... I like the square case more as well! All in all it seems like a pretty nice watch for a beater or for a kid or someone who isn't fussy. Have a good one Tim!
Thats what I thought. It really punches a lot great features. You as well Johan!
Great video man.
Thank you.
Is there a Casio that you recommend that I can use to count laps and waterproof 100 meters with big numbers
Thank you. I’ve not used these watches and I think these might count laps (if you mean lap timer, then most Casios with a chronograph will work). For 200m and step counter…the GSW-H1000 has what looks like a bigger display. The LWS-2200H is another option. GNDH2000 and the DWH5600 have solar as well. The LWS-2200H is the cheapest option ($42). The GBDH2000 is another option and is in my Amazon cart. It has solar and heart rate monitor. I’ll be doing a review of that watch shortly. I believe most of the higher priced watches also have Bluetooth connectivity.

Thank you for the reply.
I just saw some at Walmart. But not exactly what I'm looking for. I will look at your recommendation.
@@Realidealgear BTW, I'm looking forward to that review
Cool review, as usual!
I’ve always like This watch , but here in Europe I can only find it at 40€ or more, and , at that price, I’drather go for, say, a w-800h and save 10€ for the next Casio!
That’s too bad the price is so close to the W800. The Greyman W800 is a good choice with better display and WR. Enjoy the weekend
What are your thoughts on the w213? I see it as multiple alarms too and looks light as well
It's a great height...under 12mm. All the basic function with my favorite alarm setup...programmable alarms (1-time: date, month, month/date; snooze). 10 yr battery is great AND 50m WR. That's a keeper and the I like the silver and black model. I have a hard going with colors other than black with Casios.
Can I use it as a daily watch?
( including wash hands, swimming and rough way to use)
Yes, absolutely a daily watch and for hand washing.
Swimming is something Ive done with other ‘water resistant’ labeled Casios…30m. I’d avoid cliff diving with a water resistant rated watch.
Sir, how is the strap holding up after a while? Do you think WD-40 could rubbed onto the strap would prolong the life, keeping it flexible? Cheers!
I've not heard of that remedy for prolonging strap life.
Thanks
This watch does have an auto repeating timer
Thank for pointing this out. I didn't realize I never mentioned that.
👍
Thanks for watching.
But can you dive over 30 meters?
I do not have an AOWD cert.
@@Realidealgear That's my point. I think a 30-meter watch is perfectly fine watch for normal guys like you and me.
Why it’s called jet?
From the movie, the Sandlot.
Is the W96 a better buy?
It provides better water resistance but not as many alarms as the F201. It is a few dollars more but for me the water resistance better ensures the watch can function under more adverse conditions. If it were me I’d probably go with r W96 because having multiple alarms isn’t as important as to me as getting 50m WR. My job can push the limits on WR simply because my work watches get banged around so much and also get exposed to moisture. Light on both models are solid. Let me know what you decide…I’m curious.
@@Realidealgear Thanks for the reply.
I am similarly concerned about water resistance and will probably purchase a W800.
I've read reviews where folks have complained about the w96 strap/ face breaking.
Too small for me, but still a nice inexpensive watch.
It’s a great beater watch and I agree, it’s on the small side.
Darn it.. Mine is wobbly 😑
That’s no good.
@@Realidealgear I'm contacting the CS right now.. lol
