It's ironic that we get unwanted pathetic DLCs all the time but when we actually beg for one itsy bitsy DLC, we get nothing 😢 but I kinda respect them for moving on. Larian is a company with capital C.
Working with WOTC/Hasbro was a bad experience for them, so they felt like moving on to a next project. Larian did liked the people from WTOC that helped them with the DnD stuff tho, but they got laid off which also pissed off swen vincke. Also WOTC/Hasbro gets a 30% cut of every sold copy add 30% for steam which leaves them with a 40% cut, and after this success Hasbro would have demanded a even bigger share of the pie. So most likely if they would have made a DLC it wouldn't have made them much if any money.

I mean technically they are adding modding Support So when these mods get added to it then larian has basically allowed infinite expansion content to be made by the fanbase through them
highly unlikely. any story expansions/changing existing story mods do not get official mod sport. someone asked on twitter and Larian answeared specifically on this. WOTC/Hasbro definitely does not like the idea you can get a free world builder with bg3.

Look for RAW (rules-as-written) subclass mods, they are usually adaptions of existing 5e material from WOTC and are well-balanced. Same with goes for races.
@@stolendiamond09just gonna preach to the choir for a second. The class/subclass-mods often have slightly different features to make them effective for bg3, as opposed to ttrpg games. Uuuusually the changes are pretty balanced, and you have the option to make them overpowered if you’re so inclined. But in saying all of this, 5e has some pretty abusable strategies that make some subclasses just statistically better than others. Bg3 kept some of them but you can download some RAW subclasses like the HexBlade and you’ll be disgustingly op anyway.

Larion leaning into the modding community is probably the best decision for this game and keeping it alive. It would cost much time and money to make a AAA DLC and will only keep the community satisfied for so long. Increasingly well made mods are what keep classic games (and the future of this game) alive for many years to come.

Undead character dies at beginning of the game. "Don't worry I'll come back for you at level 6." 10 game hours later. "It feels like I'm forgetting something"...
The Death Knight seems accurate. For those that dunno, that specific one IS based on World of Warcrafts first "Hero Class" which was meant to be like an elite class compared to your normal starting classes. They started the game at a higher level and were stronger than normal. What helps WoW classes fit in BG 3 so well is every class had 3 Specializations, or Subclasses if you will Death Knights had Blood, Frost, and Unholy. Basically Vampire, Frost Mage/Tank, Necromancer.
When Modsupport comes to Console I may give it a try. I only hope there will also come a Harengon race someday so I could play my DnD character in BG3 XD A Harengon Artificer Armorer Subclass
They could have made a dlc of fights taking place in hell, through all 9 levels even, maybe. That would be such a cool arena for a roguelike and this dlc is proof of concept of a fun and interactive gameplay loop. Trials of (T)Avernus if you will.

Agreed. I really wished that there was a “Return to Avernus” DLC that picks up where one of the endings leaves off. Where you get Karlach’s engine fixed and kill/redeem Zariel. But that’s a lvl 20 campaign and that’d be impossible to code for.
And a concept for a “Fell the Lich Queen” DLC for going with Lae’zel and maybe Orpheus to kill Vlaakith and maybe even tie into the “Return to Avernus” dlc where you loose the original Queen Gith. But that’d piss of Tiamat and is also way above the coding capabilities of humans to account for all the higher level shit.
As a rogue rpg lover, seeing bg3 get changed into just that, albeit with characters who have exposed cheeks, it’s like a dream come true. Respect for putting the download links in the description, keep it up! :D

Larian is basically what bioware used to be before they sold their soul to ea and switched from crpg games to second rate hack n slash games with abysmal gameplay mechanics in an effort to be "trendy" Heck in inquisition you can't even level up your attribute like strength or dexterity But larian instead of changing their games to appeal to a large audience they instead refine their game mechanics and make it better with each game which is what bioware should've done with dragon age. Just improve what origins did right and fix the things that were wrong instead of completely changing it then maybe the dragon age fanbase wouldn't be so toxic between origin fans and inquisition fans

Can you do a challenge where you transform into the last thing you killed. So for example if you killed the owlbear in act 1 you would turn into a owlbear with the same stats but then if you walk out and kill a goblin you become a goblin with identical stats. You also get their gear and there is stuff like if your a goblin you would be attacked by the druid grove if you went in
I always thought that a end game dungeon that we could explore after the main story with procedural floors would add so much infinite gameplay in this game. Imagine gathering your party prepping in Baldur's Gate and then delving into the dungeon when ready.
Don't blame Larian for not wanting to work with wizards of the coast again.

Btw a side effect of the artificer infusions following dnd lore, if you use the bag of holding infusion twice on one entity it becomes a nuke 😂

a mod to try if you are a x-men fan is mutant, its a class mod with as you could guess, allows you to become a mutant, very well made mod.
