Larian is such a cool company. They don't sweat the mods, they encourage them. They are so player friendly! I hope this is the beginning of a new era in gaming. One where the player and the player having fun is the main concern of the devs.

I don't understand why everyone gets so upiddy about Gale eating objects. You find them all over the place in Act 1and I never had to give him anything I was equipping or anything that was even useful sounding. When I first played the game, I expected it to be a constant drag for the entire game based on how everyone whined about it, but he only does it three times and never again.
It's just funny. We love Gale regardless.
You likely stumbled over some leftovers from develpment, the upper city was initially supposed to be a larger part of the game (involving cazador and karlach somehow afaik)

Latin has been working on mod support for cross play and says it’ll be available sometime this year. We just aren’t getting dlc and stuff like that

After the most cursed mods, I have a suggestion, what about the complete opposite?
Beating the game with mods that make it closer to 5e (spells, races, classes, etc. possibly with the mod to make encounters more difficult if the extra features prove to be too much)

The reason the upper City gate is destructible is because the upper city was going to be in the game but it was cut at some point during development
if you give gerringothe 1 coin you get a dialogue option to persuade it to explode

Something I’d love to see is have a RPG but have it so it’s meant to be played in modded, but modding it unlocks extra events. Like if you manage to kill Vlaakith. Pretty much those “yea, no you’re not gonna do that” walls in games… if you pass them via mods it’d unlock actual extra events.

Big man, there is an actual Jedi mod on the nexus called "The Way of the Living Force". Haven't tried it but it looks cool and well made, would recommend it if you want to have a Jedi character again.

If you want Jedi Knight in D&D there is a Fighter Subclass called Psi Warrior. But to be honest I have no idea if there is a mod for it for BG3
