There's actually one race mod that I love that lets ya be a half-dragon. It has three sub races that ya can choose from which effect just how unbalanced you can be, and also adds in its own class. The most op of that mods sub-races lets ya get many, many spell slots, to the point that you have 8 level ones, like 5 of 2-5 last I checked, and three level 6 slots as a full caster class, and lets ya turn into a dragon, but the others are a lot more balanced which is fun.

I was considering the Undead player race mod for my next playthrough, it would work extremely well with Velkrana's various mods, which offer a lot of support for Undead characters. And some of those weaknesses get rubbed out with turning resistance. I've not seen the Gnoll race mod, and that actually gets me excited. I always love Gnolls, and have had a Gnoll player character or NPC idea for D&D floating in my head for a long time, so this mod provides the perfect way to implement that in some way.
@JazzyCee especially with all the new races and hair and coming mods I'd love to create a character for multiple playthroughs let people reuse them download ones that like or ones that look like celebrities or sonic[lmao] would spur a whole sub genre I'm sure

with patch 7 coming out, i cannot wait to see dialogue for new races being added. while i understand that mods, unless they get original voice actors (or damn good impressionists), they won't feel as integrated as base game content, but frankly i don't care, it would rock to play as a pious goblin or something.
The way you skipped over Mammon Tieflings as one of the default options when they're not 😣 Nah, but you mentioning them at all did intrigue me about that mod, I have a Mammon Tiefling character named Avarice that I played as just a Zariel Tiefling in BG3. Could be cool to do another playthrough with her as an actual Mammon Tiefling
Know what's the worst part? I clocked that mistake during the final pass and still forgot to get back to change it. File it under my many blunders, I guess.
I feel like the Cambion mod was treated quite harshly, it could be there for roleplay reasons! Cambions *are* different to Tiefs, afterall, as Tiefs are part human, Cambions are full devil meanwhile. Aesthetically there are some differences too, such as their horns being smoother and more curvy compared to a Tief's generally more rough and rugged horns
Was I harsh? I didn't insult it or demean it or anything. I mean, you're right about the cambion lore, which is why despite me feeling it to be somewhat redundant, I still chose to feature it.
@@JazzyCee It's just my interpretation! I'm not good at discerning tone so the "tieflings are right there" felt harsh to me. I hope I'm not coming across as hateful

Still no Dhampir or Vampire (Spawn) despite elements of their lineage being in game already. (Kinda annoying how Undead Warlock also fully in game but no one has made a mod of them either with Patch 7.)
Actually there are. The Dhampir was "Transient Guests Are We", but it got broken and never updated irc. There is another mod that I'll mention in coming videos where when Astarion bites you, you can then choose to become a vamp. Lore breaking, but whatever. Still fun.
Love your work! I hope the Wolfkind section didn't come across as mean-spirited. I've been worried about whether I exaggerated too much for the initial joke.
Kept you waiting, huh? Happy to see you! This video was taking sooo long, I took a break to work on another one about Fallout London, which turned even bigger. WIth patch 7 coming, I thought I'd get back to this and get it out of the way, haha.
i dont see vampire as a subrass of undead, and the main thing where ere the true ORCS, these muscular war mashines. we got elves, drow, woodelve and all of them have half-rase. but orcs are out of the queue. im upsed
20:43 This is the point in the video where you went off the rails and could not be more wrong. The amount of customization here is off the charts. For example, If you select the ORC race, you ALL NEW COMPLETELY UNIQUE TO ONLY ORCS BodyArt/TATTOOS, that you did not even show in your video. Because you completely blew them off. Another example would be the Lizardmen, who look amazing AND get colors which make them look more like Lizards. Another example would be the Dhampir (half-vampire race), who get the unique movement ability of TURNING INTO A SWARM OF BATS and then reforming at their destination. It's incredible. Another example would be the Vedalken who are from MTG: Ravnica and part of the D&D Multiverse. And if you get into dialogue with the Vedalken character, you get "PLANAR" as your dialogue options because they are not from this world. They are from a completely different plane of existence. So that's pretty cool and unique! And 100% lore accurate. So how could you say, "none of them have the amount of care or visual customization we've seen for other mods"... wow! Could not be more wrong.
I appreciate you batting for the mod, and you are free to disagree, of course. Perhaps I could've worded it better, but I stand by what I meant. Fantastical Multiverse is a well done mod, but it does not have the amount of custom visual options compared to individual mods that really double down on races out of a particular fondness for them like: Whispers of the Divine, Warlords of the Coast, or Ghastly Ghouls. Or even the standalone Firbolg that we can directly compare to the Firbolgs in Multiverse. What I'm not saying, however, is that it's a bad mod or that it's got nothing going for it, or that it's somehow lesser. What I don't appreciate is saying I "blew them off. I didn't show"certain things on the mod for the same reason I didn't show a bunch of other stuff in other mods. This isn't meant to be an in-depth review, but a taste and a showcase to make it easier for people to find mods they might be interested in.

I think if a good piece of art is rigged badly, its salvaged by the art but if both are kinda meh then its overall just not great. In the nicest way possible, i kinda got deviantart art vibes. I've not seen the Gnoll race mod, and that actually gets me excited. I always love Gnolls, and have had a Gnoll player character or NPC idea for D&D floating in my head for a long time, so this mod provides the perfect way to implement that in some way.
A mod that lets me save, reuse, and share my favorite creative characters or designs would be peak!
It genuinely would!
@JazzyCee especially with all the new races and hair and coming mods I'd love to create a character for multiple playthroughs let people reuse them download ones that like or ones that look like celebrities or sonic[lmao] would spur a whole sub genre I'm sure
@@mikeymikerules People kind of already do that by posting early saves right after coming out of the pod. There's a bunch on the nexus of characters from Actual Play shows.
@JazzyCee so maybe a mod that curates it? Idk I'm on console so I'm just hoping to get access to something like that
speaking of angels, there's a playable solar race mod...it is 100% a power trip mod like cambions, I put the game on tactician for the first time just to feel something, and even then I wiped the floor with the game until well into the second act lmao
it's fun for roleplay for me personally, as I have op angel ocs that deserve to get taken down a peg (in the mod's defense, you can turn off a lot of the op stuff)
Still waiting on the word for the Tabaxi race. I hoped it would've been mentioned.
it's paywalled and not on nexus, instant 1/10/h
but this is a video about nexus mods
Tbh, I wasn't even aware there was much of a modding community outside of the nexus for bg3. When I checked waaaay back, I didn't really find anything of note. Sucks that it's paywalled.
@@d3str0i3rThe tabaxi mod is still a work in progress, the mod's creator says it'll be up for free on Nexus when it's finished, so no it's not really paywalled.
2:58 omg they are playing. They are so cute together!
I watched this video just to see if anyone made a Kobold mod.. I came out of it disappointed because only 1 exists.
One is still better than none!
@@JazzyCee That’s true! Thank you for showing me/us these mods! Great video!
with patch 7 coming out, i cannot wait to see dialogue for new races being added. while i understand that mods, unless they get original voice actors (or damn good impressionists), they won't feel as integrated as base game content, but frankly i don't care, it would rock to play as a pious goblin or something.
Mmm I am playing a Dhampir. Which is fun to play as well as a Blood Hunter. Can't forget to do a half Vampire/half human. 🤣🤣🤣
The way you skipped over Mammon Tieflings as one of the default options when they're not 😣
Nah, but you mentioning them at all did intrigue me about that mod, I have a Mammon Tiefling character named Avarice that I played as just a Zariel Tiefling in BG3. Could be cool to do another playthrough with her as an actual Mammon Tiefling
Know what's the worst part? I clocked that mistake during the final pass and still forgot to get back to change it. File it under my many blunders, I guess.
Where was my boy Kuo-Toa? Its objectively the best class to play that make the game infinitely more enjoyable
As far as I know Kuo toa came with the patch, unless I missed it.
Disappointed that the kobolds didn't get a proper feature. But to be fair, that's because they don't have a dedicated mod! And that's TERRIBLE.
Although a standalone in-depth mod would be great, the multiverse mod is pretty good!
Shadar Kai spotted in that last mod.
That was one of my 4e characters. Fun.
Anyway, I'm gonna go play as a Kobold now.
Look another person who played 4e! There are dozens of us!
@@JazzyCee More like exactly 1 Dozen of us-
But it was definitely a fun introduction into D&D when I was 10.
BG3 Kenku Mod when?
@@myhlosic You are absolutely not, don't worry. Hateful comments are usually way more, let's say, succinct and to the point, haha.
I actually really appreciate feedback like this, the last thing I want is to come across like I'm sh^tting on these good people's work.
@@JazzyCee I think my biggest issue was that once you had moved from the Cambion mod and then got to the Tiefling subtypes and there was rhe winged one you said "further making the cambion mod more redundant" (or something along those lines)
Finally, there is mod, what allow us to make kobold bard!!!
Gotta make good ol' Deekin.
@@JazzyCee Ya. We gotta make good ol' Deekin pround. His legacy will be not forgotten.
I just need the Genasi mechanics with the Dryad looks, and I'll have a complete mod to make one of my characters
the new kobolt press races are cool ash too, i hope someone adds them
Still no Dhampir or Vampire (Spawn) despite elements of their lineage being in game already.
Still fun.
I can't believe they added the Owlin as a race in BG3 but still haven't added the Kenku!
I mean, the Kenku would take a lot of work with the models and stuff. Owlings have all the parts already there.
3:37 that armor reminds me of daedric armor from skyrim
I'll download and use a half giant mod. Had a soft spot for them in the 3rd Edition Psionics handbook.
6:42 Nerdcast RPG Ghanor reference? Wasn't expecting it
Lambda, lambda, lambda!
is there a list of extra races that can equip any armour/weapon in game without visual bugs or glitches?
I'm also the mod author of wolfkind lol thanks for the laughs bud.
Love your work! I hope the Wolfkind section didn't come across as mean-spirited. I've been worried about whether I exaggerated too much for the initial joke.
You're back! :D
Kept you waiting, huh? Happy to see you! This video was taking sooo long, I took a break to work on another one about Fallout London, which turned even bigger. WIth patch 7 coming, I thought I'd get back to this and get it out of the way, haha.
i dont see vampire as a subrass of undead, and the main thing where ere the true ORCS, these muscular war mashines. we got elves, drow, woodelve and all of them have half-rase. but orcs are out of the queue. im upsed
Last mod featured, multiversal whatever, has full orcs.
@@JazzyCee that's not exactly what I meant
I meant, as much as a half-orc is bigger than Astarion, a true orc should be bigger than a half-orc
I hope the Goblin one comes to PS5. I wanna make a sneaky small character, but base game ones seem too cheery for what I want for my rogue.
"For thou has been...NAUGHTY~"
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Now I pray for Bugbear mod (and a better gnoll mod)
Crying cuz there are no Harengon mods yet, please modders, I beg you
7:40 .. WHY DOES HE SCREAM FOR SO LONG 😭😭😭😭LOOOL
kind of hate your avatar im sorry but this video was great, well edited & sectioned, most of these mods i had never heard of before and look REALLY good
If you're going to apologize right after, why even say anything? I'd understand if there was some constructive criticism there, but come on.
@@JazzyCee So you can improve it if it was something a lot of people said something about, trust me im not hating for the sake of hating, but if i made a really good video and had one aspect of it that was setting a lot of people off of it, i would want people to tell me, thats all! If you want specific constructive criticism, i would say that it just doesnt look super professionally done, and the rigging doesnt look very appealing either. I think if a good piece of art is rigged badly, its salvaged by the art but if both are kinda meh then its overall just not great. In the nicest way possible, i kinda got deviantart art vibes. This doesnt come from a place of hate but just a comment from someone who would want to hear the same type of criticism if i was the one making content regularly and trying to get more people to watch my video, because overall, it was a pretty good video!
@@koiyo303it’s not rigged but animated obviously and it looks fine
@@flyinglobster9552 yeah i cant really speak on the animation because it seemed like a vtuber type deal, but the art itself just felt a little out of place
Soooo, Harengon race when?
Shut up, that would be awesome!
We need some many race mods for the official mod manager so that I can use it on console.
Edit: I’d love the satyr mod alone.
Why is it Satyr and not a Fawn I know this is a bit nitpicky but Satyrs can only be male doesn't really matter though
Satyr is the term used in 5e for the collective race starting in the theros source book. This source book is also from a mtg plane. Anyway it's probably because it follows the offical terminology as opposed to mythology.
@@z9173 Oh sorry I didn't know this
I love the reference to Riz Gukgak
Love the ball!
Furbolgs have been in Warcraft for over 20 years and Dota 2 for 10+.
And both were heavily.inspired by dnd, which in turn took them from irish myth. But their current popularity and stylings in the dnd community specifically have been heavily influenced by Matt Mercers take on them.
the godkin look amazing wym
Not my cup of tea, but I actually do appreciate the design. Certainly better than elf number 540.
Wyll got turned into a devil, not a tiefling.
I know, I was pointing out they are barely any different
All this, and still no Tabaxi to be found. Also, where's my Kenku at!?
18:02 insert “brother, ehhhwwww” meme here
No fantastical races mod overview? Would’ve loved to see Goliath and such.
What? It's in the video? It's the last mod.
@@JazzyCee ope so it is
For like... 15 seconds lmao
Man now i wanna make a power rangers team with those bling bling dragons XD
That's such a freaking funny idea, lol
Could you do this for all the class mods?
It's on the way!
I use steam deck / linux, is there a way to get these mods? Not all of these (if any) have been imported via the offical mod support.
I really wanna play some of these as they look super cool!
I imagine all will eventually be ported to mod.io. just gotta have patience.
GDAMN I've already been playing bg3 for the past 2 weeks now I gotta do an extra 2 months to try all this out
the myconide is a Goat
can someone update the goblin mod :(
I miss the dhampir mod… it unfortunately only gives me floating teeth now 😔
Are we sure the mod just isnt considering camera lens to be a type of mirror? In all seriousness just give it time, people are still toying with the new modding tools.
Hello, how did you make the mods work for you without getting the warning that you can't start the game through the external mods. Thank you
Are you on patch 7? This video series was entirely recorded on patch 6, so I don't think I can help you much if you've upgraded. It might be that the mods have been broken by the patch or something?
@@JazzyCee Yes, I'm on patch 7. It could be that they are broken I don't know. Thanks for the help.
Definitivamente NÃO estava esperando uma referência ao Nerdcast de RPG do nada
Eu botei so para minha propria satisfacao, e to surpreso que tantos brs acharam o video haha.
