Fun fact about your fight at the Adamantine forge. At 6 seconds per round, 405 rounds would be 40 minutes and 30 seconds in game. You were experiencing that fight at the same speed as the characters were.
The most poetic part about this is that his 'shitty level one aid spell' actually saved the run, as the spell gives him 5 max HP and he ended the brain fight with 4 HP.
A note I had found out about Ethel is that her clones copy a LOT of things apart from one thing - her initative. She will ALWAYS be first on the turn around so you can hover over that one and attack her directly.
you can also just examine her. The real one has red/brown clothing, all the clones have blue. When shifting into the woman, the real one has the pregnant belly, while Ethel doesnt.
@alexnonya5905 even simpler since I'm colorblind and didn't pick up on the colors but the real hag is the only one with the Fey Life passive from her charm.
You missed out on a Kobold army. If you take out the Kobolds without any of the barrels erupting from fire, you can pick up those barrels.. The barrels make adorable gulping and slurping sounds from the Kobolds hidden inside of them. Throwing them or detonating them spawns a Kobold, they will be hostile to you, but also hostile to anything else too..
In the Grym fight, you can actually lure Grym under the anvil with spiritual weapon (since it levitates above the lava and Grym will target it no matter who the "prime target" is, because it can only get to SW), making the fight much easier while still being safe on the ledge above. Can't imagine doing this fight for 40 minutes, your patience is off the charts. Great video as usual!
Cool tip, Bulette is not the strongest Glut summon, it's actually the Phase Spider Matriarch, which you can push down the hole that leads into the Underdark.
You can in regular but you can't in Honor mode I have tested this out myself it keeps teleporting back up pushing it with thunder wave or even a really f****** strong character it doesn't work I was really sad when I discovered this
Summons unexplored? My first run i ended being all summons with a total of 21 summons, plus my 4 character, shit was fun, nice video really like your videos
Did you know that you can use summons to trigger the dialogue with the Kuo-toa in the Act 1 Underdark? That would've been a fun thing to show off in a run like this! My favourite ones to use are a flaming sphere, find familiar bird, the reanimated corpses of Gut or Dror Ragzlin, and Shovel! If you get enough lucky rolls, any of them can become the Chosen of BOOOAL.
When I saw Bouch uploaded, I feared the worst.. Thankfully, It was just a compilation of previous videos. I had expected him to upload a video like "Can I beat Baldur's Gate 3 while having Open Heart Surgery?".
I'm only 23 minutes into this video and I've already learned half-a-dozen things I never knew. One thing this makes me think of is how much work Larian put into creating this game. Wow, there is A LOT to discover! Thanks for a fantastic video! I'm gonna keep watching now...
You can also turn the big boy dark justiciar into your summon via the control undead paladin feature, I was walking around with that boy and brought him up to kethric... Kethric smited him and took 100 force damage in return, it was funny (also you can heal your controlled undeads via aid spamming)
Just a tip for anyone that wants to complete the glut quest without fighting just take control of glut and jump him off the map you don't get xp from him but quest complete!
Just make sure his summon is at the bottom, and keep him and yourself at the top. I normally find this happens anyway, his summon sometimes either allies with you for some reason but if its far enough away it just doesn't join the combat so you don't have to risk it
Yessss, the full movie finally dropped! I love your crazy challenge videos. I'd also like to start a summons-only run myself but I barely managed to finish my last run with a full party because I get so annoyed with a lot of characters to control.
Bouch, I don't mean to alarm you, but you don't have to do the Lorrokan fight. You can just sneak into the door next to his portal room to then sneak into the vault, so you can get the Bestial Communion spell as soon as you enter the Lower City. Also you could've cast Globe of Invulnerability to save all your summons after using a vigilance potion.
You don’t even have to worry about sneaking, i always go to the vault/lower half before fighting him. Worst I got was one -5 attitude on my way back up
Love your videos, just btw what I do to cheese the grym forge flight is throw heavy stuff. It does bludgeoning damage which grym is weak to, just load up a chest or two with as much as you can throw. I got up to 100+ damage per throw. Bonus, there's an adimentine chest which is indestructible.
Man, I remember my first run. I didn’t spec at all for summons but they just happened to wind up a big part of my party lol. I remember when the house of hopes bath was infinite. I’d just summon everything and then aid and heroes feast the party. God that was busted fun
Bouch, you otdo yourself with these challenges every time! Thanks for showing just how versatile this game is and how adept you are at using the mechanics!
Hey so, i had an idea, a challenge even: Can you beat Baldur's Gate 3 if the entire world is covered in the Shadow Curse It most likely needs a custom mod, but it would certainly be a different experience, like how slain enemies come back, and needing to protect yourself and any NPC you'd need from the shadow.
This is very awesome, I love summons and pet builds in games. I will have to watch this a few times to see where everything came from. My only personal change would be to do it without changing classes. Personally I like to go 11 Druid/1 Cleric for Sanctuary and Moonbeam Shinigins. That and Spike growth. Trivializes much of the harder fights. My lvl 3 druid solo'd the entire gnoll fight just with moonbeam and sanctuary.
Unless this is patched, there is a way (albeit extremely tedious and annoying, especially on a lonewolf run) to get Glut into Act 2 and even 3 and use his powers to resurrect characters like Sarevok, which is hilarious and broken as hell.
I played druid on my first ever playthrough and would have myself and gale summon an air myrmidon and have myself transform into one as well, for a total of 5 attacks/turn which was basically guaranteed to stun at least one thing, god those things are so disgustingly overpowered
11:05 The staff does NOT say it lasts for 10 turns even if we start concentrating on something else. I hate the item descriptions in this game. THat would be a HUGE thing to have known.
10:19 The Phase Spider Matriarch, whilst technically weaker due to being one level lower than the Bulette, is stronger than the Bulette. Can be resurrected by Glut if successfully pushed down the Chasm of Withering Depths.
A cool cheat for you to try: Glut doesn't trigger the bibberbang mushrooms so you can save Baelen and/or grab the noblestock just by letting Glut walk freely amongst them...also give the bibberbang to Derryth and she can then stock rare and powerful mushrooms at her shop in Baldur's Gate city
Bouch dude i know this comment might get lost but im going through a rough time right now and your videos have been an amazing bright light in my life recently ❤

idk if you knew this, but with the fight with grymforge, you could stand at the top there and just throw down weapons, armor, or items and it deals about 30+ damage each time, plus any additional damage if you have tavern brawler, or the ring and gloves that add a 1d4 to any thrown attacks.
