Emily Graham I perceive Toni as person that doesn’t care about whose name is on what video. She is a true musician that loves making music with her friends. Her talent and demeanor places her name on everything she does. She has her own channel, by the way.
Pj Jr. Thanks!! Sometimes people just say stuff to say stuff. I try to provoke a thought with my posts, and to help someone see another angle/perspective.
Reina, your vocal is the definition of smooth. Love Toni’s chord progression in the third verse. Your voices work great together and your pronunciation of su-par-na-cha-ral was perfect!. Thanks for covering it and all the best to you both.
My jaw dropped when I heard that jazzy style out of the strat, then when she came in with the harmonies it gave me goosebumps. Such a beautiful sound you two have 🖤
It does an old hippies heart good to hear 2 young ladies preforming so many old classic tunes. I love the way the 2 of you are so on the same page all the time, you complement each other amazingly well. You put your own spin on everything you do but still stay very true to the original. You are both so blessed!! Thanks as always for sharing:)
Love you gals, part of my Sunday funday. Turned 19 in 73 and next few years danced at so many weddings to this. Not all the marriages lasted but great memories.
Yes, yes, yes. My thoughts exactly. Soft voices and excellent guitar playing. I tried to describe Toni's guitar style to a friend, He said you mean she "caresses" the guitar. Yes, yes, yes that it the best verb to describe her playing.
Spot on Toni. Nice blend of electric and acoustic accompanying the lyrics. You are both very talented women and your regular output in troubled times brightens the lives many fans across the world. Greetings as always from Norfolk, England
Bill Yates, yes, I remember when this song first came out. It was really cool back then and still is after all these years. It's one of those songs that withstands the test of time in a very favorable way.
So was I and many folks say that era was tops. As a youth at that time I heard the generations before me say that same thing. As an observation of mine today, we are currently in the midst of very fine talent that folks will be reminiscing in forty or so years. Everything changes but it remains the same.
This is the best version I've heard of this wonderful tune. Everything is perfect about it. It's so good that my cat awoke from his slumber and stared at the screen throughout. He's never done that before.
As I'm listening and watching this for about the umpteenth time I have so much respect for both Reina and Toni. Part of what makes a good musician or a good ensemble work is the ability to play off of each other and to recognize each other's strengths and weaknesses. Well these two and the boys really have no weaknesses because they are all such consummate musicians, but they share the stage with each other and genuinely enjoy the music. So refreshing. It's also interesting to note that the comments stay relatively troll-free. Every once in a while you get some ding-a-ling who can't appreciate their talent, but not so often. Mostly it's just us who tune in each week or put Facebook on while we're at work or cooking dinner to listen to your tunes. Thank you so much May God continue to bless you and keep you safe and okay during these days of COVID19
The video is beautiful, whatever your lighting setup is, it looks like you were bathed in moonlight! Nice timing, a nod to the supermoon. Reina's vocals, Toni's guitar - both sound clear and effortlessly musical. Around 1:18 Reina enjoys Toni's wandering, I like that note too! Thanks for a lovely cover.
Love this cover. They don't make songs like this anymore. No "message" or agenda, just light, danceable, singable, timeless, and yet well written. Anyone who grew up with this song remembers it and it reminds you of some night of party with friends where the only order was chill, laugh, and dance your ass off and forget there is a world out there.
Reina Toni Carson and Josh i want to thank you guys i suffer from acute depression etc your music helps me get through everyday at the moment, i think you are all extraordinary young people. my kindest regards mike........................ and cheers from Australia.
For several years I've seen this one as basically written for you, but about 47 years early. It's my "total chill" anthem to come back to a sane attitude when the world is in mega stupid mode. Kudos to Toni for respecting and staying true to the original. It's timeless.
I'm a pretty old guy and this song takes me right back to some of the best times I've known. Got the warm and fuzzies now, so thanks for that. Terrific singing and playing.
Oh, my!!! This is just perfect for a Labor Day Sunday. A little bit of pure summer gold to end a summer unlike any we’ve seen in our lifetime; a reminder of the great summers of old, with a hopeful eye out for next year. Thanks for making this summer’s Sundays something to smile about! Love to you both! ✌️❤️☕️
Got to say something here. Rena and Tony I've been watching you since you started on RUclips ...via Josh. I'm an old guy and I've been playing guitar a long time; so I focus on the guitar players. Watching Toni grow as a master player and the both of you blossoming as performance artists has been delightful. And please remember - wherever you go, there you are. Cheers.
And, Happy Sunday Morning! What a beautiful rendition of that song. I become happy when I see that your music has touched so very many people. Your gift is appreciated by each other? It is obvious that this gift that you both possess is greeted with gratitude all around the world.
You two seem to enjoy playing together which makes it very fun to watch. Your voices harmonize very well. I just love watching talented musicians jive together with music from the 60's, 70's, & 80's, so special!
The best female duo around! Not only because you two can sing but because you can PLAY incredibly complex covers that were originally released on other instruments like piano or keyboard that you rearranged for 2 guitars. Reina the main vocal and Toni the incredible guitar player. I look forward to Sundays!
These two are great together, wonderful talent. Toni's got that serious flow on the electric, and they harmonize so well. Still pretty much in love with Reina, though. That voice and that smile...signature of Venus, like she knows something nobody else does.
Oh my God I love this song. It's clear to me you guys ultimately play music for the same reason I do. It's because you love music so much you just have to make it yourself to feel it coming through you.
great - I often play this song in my favorite pub in our village (version from Toploader and also the original ) and also the songs of Reina and Tony - now it's beautifully connecte
AHHH that chord progression c. 2 minutes is just gorgeous! Wow. Everything about this is magic. You have to nail this song, and you two somehow exceeded my wildest expectations.
Syncopation, bass line, and head voice Toni's choice of rhythm and her use of a bass line at around 1:56 in, set up Rachelle's beautiful, but all to brief switch to head voice. This rendition is a lesson for performing musicians who want to know what is meant by "less is more". As always, thank you...
waaaaaa that guitar work on the last verse, the extended bass line, the crazy substitutions, just wow. and stellar, (seemingly) effortless vocals as always. fantastic
I love this song even more than I did when I first heard it in the early 70s--because the two of you are so splendid. Thank you for sharing this warm, lovely version. I am following you now because I just can't get enough of your guitar work and voices. It's all so beautiful I tear up listening.
Nice rendition of this mellow classic! Great vocal! Great guitar work! Hard to keep it interesting sometimes when there are few chords to the song. But, you nailed it! Was surprised to hear how well the guitar replaced the keyboard in the song.
Thanks for bringing happiness to what is my least favorite day of the week! It’s incredible how you two can make the most complex song great doing just acoustic
Just LOVE listening to you ladies...Tony, love your guitar playing and your beautiful relaxing mellow voice Reina...stay as humble as you are and NEVER change...
Brilliant cover even under the moonlight, thank you. I definitely feel warmer and brighter. I can't help but remembering the guardians if the galaxy game which used this tune.
One of my favourite songs ever ... one of the few where I do actually like every version that exists! Be it Toploader, Jübel, Reina and Toni or the original from King Harvest Happy Sunday y’all!
I love your guys' sound, it's refreshing. It's a shame radio stations only play the stuff that fits their agenda instead of quality music people actually want to hear. Keep up the great work!
This Girls are every sunday there for us, they should get a award for this. In this corona-time they are important for all of us like the doctors in hospital. For a smal time I forgeth my situation and feel good and happy, Thanks a lot and by the way, your music is toooooooooop, nice voice and a good Guitar
I love listening to y'all so much...its a real delight. Y'all with Josh and Carson is so awesome too. In fact every video y'all do is just such a joy for my ears and heart. Ty for sharing with us!
You made me rediscover this song, kind of always heard it on the oldies radio and never paid much attention to it...which it's ridiculous given how fun the song is and how actually warm and bright you made me feel while hearing your take on it! So thank you for that!
Not only is Toni a great guitarist, her harmony adds so much depth and color to Reina's singing.
Exactly!!
Toni's name should be featured in this duo because they are a duo.
You know?

So very nice when an original artist loves a cover
Toni is so fricking talented it blows my mind!
Couldn't have said it any better.... Thank-you.
She's the ideal wing musician: talented, versatile, unassuming.
pretty pretty too!
I imagine these two ladies on tour, travelling from gig to gig, getting lots of proposals.

My jaw dropped when I heard that jazzy style out of the strat, then when she came in with the harmonies it gave me goosebumps. Such a beautiful sound you two have 🖤
That guitar arrangement from 1:55 onwards is simply awesome, with the bass line and all.
Praise god so great to see the great 70’z classics still being loved and appreciated

Right on
Right On Brother Man!
Love you gals, part of my Sunday funday. Turned 19 in 73 and next few years danced at so many weddings to this. Not all the marriages lasted but great memories.
Seeing their smiles while they play makes me smile. Those of us who play know what they're feeling and it's divine.
you are special.
Ladies, soft voices and excellent guitar playing make for a well done song.
Yes, yes, yes. My thoughts exactly. Soft voices and excellent guitar playing. I tried to describe Toni's guitar style to a friend, He said you mean she "caresses" the guitar. Yes, yes, yes that it the best verb to describe her playing.
Agreed
I know it's weird, but i love the way Toni's fingers work so effortlessly.
I haven't clicked on a video this quickly before. One of my favourite songs of all time. Love Toni's playing, and your voices blend so well!! Cheers!
Spot on Toni. Nice blend of electric and acoustic accompanying the lyrics. You are both very talented women and your regular output in troubled times brightens the lives many fans across the world. Greetings as always from Norfolk, England

I believe I was 13 years old when King Harvest did this song back in 73, it brings back great memories! Thanks ladies!

I’ve been a Reina fan from the beginning. I’ve seventy and have witnessed many entertainers and her joy alone for music makes her special...
Brightened my isolation Sunday! Toni’s guitar work is brilliant 👍✌️😊🙏🏼🎵🎶🎵🎵🎶🎶🎶🎵🎵🎶
This is the best version I've heard of this wonderful tune. Everything is perfect about it. It's so good that my cat awoke from his slumber and stared at the screen throughout. He's never done that before.
Toni’s chord work is outta this world. Her left hand looked like Thing from The Addams Family a bit there.
Lmao
I noticed her fingering too. Clean, fast and precise. She goood
Her fingers move like robotics. Amazing dexterity.
Toni knows all the chords...and then some
Left hand like king crab claws. Nicely done.
That song came out in 1973 when I was a freshman in High School in Wake Forest NC! I loved it then and today! Ya'll did a great job!
