If asked, “What central theme runs through all the Bible?” how would you respond? Jesus? The plan of salvation? The cross? Yes to all three, of course! But these three important topics unfold against an even more all-encompassing theme: the great controversy. This theme pervades the Bible, from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation.
The great controversy began in heaven with Lucifer’s rebellion against God. At the heart of this cosmic conflict is the issue of God’s love. Is He fully loving? Does He have the best interests of His creatures in view? Or is He an authoritative dictator desiring only what is in His own self-interest?
This quarter’s lessons trace world history from God’s viewpoint, as prophecy reveals it, from the time of Christ down through the centuries to our day and beyond. God’s very nature is love, and therefore, all His acts are loving, though this fact may not always be evident to finite human beings or even angels. But God’s love is progressively revealed as the great controversy unfolds. We see its height and depth most clearly through the Cross. At Calvary, God’s love was displayed before the entire universe when Christ poured out His life to redeem humanity, and Satan’s ultimate defeat was assured.🌏

The exodus out of Egypt, is a corner stone lesson on how we are to lean on as an example. Food is a major issue: natural food and spiritual food are big factors. Example we will be test by works( mark in the hand )and (mark in the forehead.) Food was an issue with Adam and Eve, the exodus out of Egypt and Jesus temptation in the wilderness.
I love Pastor Bohr prayer, especially the part about “clear thinking”.
This is very very true. As God's, it is our duty to seek the truth and follow it where ever it leads us
The Meaning Of Rain
“Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of My mouth. My doctrine shall drop as the rain My speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass.” Deut. 32:1, 2
Rain is used in the Scriptures as Doctrine - Word of God - the Truth. rain symbolizes the truth words of God
The Holy Spirit works in two phases: TRUTH first, then the POWER.
First, he will guide you into all the truth John 16:13
Zechariah 10;1-2 Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field. For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams;....
The Lord ASKS us to ask him for RAIN because the idols speak lies. If the idols can speak then they must be people, so the idols must be leaders of the church Therefore, the Leaders are trying to comfort by preaching falsehood. If the Leaders were speaking the Truth and not vanity, then the Lord would not have said to us, "ask ye rain". References: Isaiah 56:10-11, 5T 211, TM 86.
The Lord wants us to ask for Rain in order to counteract the lies or vanities that the idols or leaders have spoken.
God is asking us to ask for truth in the time of the revelation of the Latter Truth. (latter= last -nearer to the end) latter rain=last truth/truth for the end time)
EARLY RAIN: EARLY TRUTH -Messages from the time of Christ and the Apostles up to Sis white
LATTER RAIN: LAST TRUTH -A truth or message that will prepare us for the HARVEST TIME. TM 475.3
Malachi 4: 8,6 Elijah message..."Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:..."
Joel2 verse 23 speaks about Two Teachers of Righteousness - a Former and a Latter rain.
The Former Rain is the Truth up to the 3rd Angel's Message
The latter rain must then be the fourth angel message. (Elijah message) (full comprehension of the bible and spirit of prophesy)... Another angel (Revelation 18:1) joins the third angel to give added power to the proclamation of the warning against the beast and his image. The Elijah Message or the Fourth Angel's Message it's a message about reformation and revival. It is A Call for Reformation, a prophetic message for the SDA church.
A reformation is primarily the restoration of God's Truth. A reformation is needed when elements of God's Truths have been completely forgotten or lost by the majority.
A revival is primarily a call to return to faith and obedience.
Joel 2 verses 28-29 says: “afterward" - after the former and the latter rains then the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in POWER. (We know that there are 2 manifestations of the Holy Spirit - first the TRUTH and then the POWER.)
Note that the “rain” comes first and the pouring out of His spirit afterwards. Therefore, the rain is one thing, and the pouring out of the spirit is another.
By the “rain” is represented great light on the Word of God that is to ripen the harvest and lighten the world with its glory the angel of Revelation 18:1. The pouring out of the Spirit is the power that is to descend upon God’s servants to carry on the work represented by the former and latter rain. “And upon all flesh” is the Spirit that is to convince the honest in heart of the truth and bring them into the church, of which Pentecost was a type. “And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil”-represents a great harvest of souls that shall be garnered in by the result of the “rain” and the “Spirit.” (Joel 2:24.) ***Rain (truth) Spirit (power)
But the second phase, that promised power (Joel 2:28) which comes “afterward,” after “the latter rain,” is that for which most Christians are praying without considering that there is a first phase (Joel 2:23)-the “teacher of righteousness,” a final outpouring of Present Truth-which must be obtained before the final outpouring of power can be realized.
First there must be the revelation of Pentecostal truth before there can be given the Pentecostal power to proclaim it: “And it shall come to pass afterward [after the former and the latter rain],” says the All-knowing One, “that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh.” Joel 2:28.
These two manifestations of the Holy Spirit are seen to be inseparable. The first develops a people by teaching them in righteousness; the second fully matures them, and clothes them with power to proclaim the truth in righteousness. In consequence, there is given in the first phase of the work “a teacher of righteousness” who trains an army of under-teachers of righteousness for the carrying out of the second phase.
Being told to pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, thousands upon thousands have earnestly done so, but to no avail. Why?
Because we do not DWELL ON TRUTH; we have been compromised. The conditions for receiving it have not as yet been met. When they are met this sure promise of God will be instantaneously fulfilled, even as it was with the apostles.
"We have wandered away from the old landmarks. Let us return. If the Lord be God, serve him: if Baal, serve him. Which side will you be on?" -- Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 137.
If people care to find the truth, it can easily be done. But the fact of the matter is that they do not care. People would rather be deceived than to ask God to show them His truth.
WE MUST FIRST DWELL ON TRUTH, THAT'S HOW WE GET SEAL
the Truth worth dwelling on is Jesus Himself (who is the Way, the Truth and the LIFE
Being sealed in Christ "with that Holy Spirit of promise," after having "heard the word of truth" (Eph. 1:13; 4:30), the saints are consequently sealed by Present Truth--the truth preached in their own day.
Those who allow the Holy Spirit to guide them into all truth receive the seal of God (John 16:13; 2 Corinthians 1:21, 22; Ephesians 1:13), which is a sign of recognition (Ezekiel 20:20; 2 Timothy 2:19) Another word Receive the latter rain afterward than come the power.
IN ORDER TO BE A PART OF THE LOUD CRY WE MUST KNOW THE TRUTH WORD OF GOD BY WHICH WE GET SEAL
SEAL = TRUTH
Just as soon as the people of God are sealed in their foreheads-it is not any seal or mark that can be seen, but a settling into the truth, both intellectually and spiritually, so they cannot be moved-just as soon as God's people are sealed and prepared for the shaking, it will come. Indeed, it has begun already. -The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 4:1161 (1902 ) 2 Timothy 2:19, 2 Corinthians 1:22

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth John 17:17

How are we seal? We are sealed by the Holy Spirit
In Ephesians 1:13 the Bible says that “when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.”

Great insight brothers. Thank you for sharing with us. I would like to add that the greatest reason we should follow God, aside from His wonderful power, is that tender heart, so full of love to usward.
The fact that God is so awfully mighty, powerful and the Creator of all. Outside of time and our space, YET
His heart is so full of divine love, of good thoughts, of ideas to please, blessings, and the desire to guide us to everlasting peace. That heart that loves us so uniquely, so personal, as if we're the only person on the whole universe.
It's because that God blood that Christ willingly spilled to cover us, a sacrifice so costly, and so beautiful to the Holy Father, that the Holy Father is moved and stirred to save us from this place so full of evil and sin!
Praise Christ for revealing the tinder mercies of that beautiful heart of the Father! And praise be to the Holy Spirit for working so intimately on our wicked, dark and chaotic hearts! To soften it up and begin a great and mysterious work of preparing, and cleaning our soul's temple that when the dead are called they will rise into everlasting life! And us who are living, in the twinkling of an eye will be made new! Glory to the King of Kings ❤👑
My four year today told me that God spoke to Him. God said I love you, and I will always protect you even from the dark. Because my son is little afraid of the Dark, that met the world to him. How beautiful it is that Good wants to make Himself real to us from our childhood!
My second listening to this discussion was even more edifying than the first. Possibly because I've done it on Sabbath afternoon and I am more relaxed than on Wednesday when I first listened.. Also, because I can use some of the information to answer some of the questions we discussed at Sabbath School.
As a matter of fact, I now think it a very good idea to make it a habit to go over lessons several times as needed for further studies to promote knowledge of the Word for personal use as well as to share with others. These subjects are meaty and full of substance if we go beneath the service. Thanks again.😊
I've never read about chain prophecies only happening once and classical more than once. Does anyone have a biblical proof of this? Or where this teaching comes from?
What I do read is ' that which have been is that which shall be and there is nothing new under the sun' Ecc 3.
Remember our sustenance will be provided (food) as biblically stated , by God.

Happy Sabbath to all dear brothers and sisters.Just to extend a bit on what Pastor Bohr spoke on The Seal, if we look to the context of the very same verse in Ephesians 4; it states The Holy Spirit By which (other versions say, by Whom) ye are sealed. As we grow in our walk with God, in the obediences taught by our Lord Jesus Christ, that obediences becomes the work of the Holy Spirit. The verse doesn’t say: THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE SEAL; but rather that we become sealed by the Holy Spirit. He is the Co-Participant with the Father and the Son, in Redeeming us. The interesting and powerful part that the Sabbath brings as the Seal, it is based on, is obeying the One Who is the Hearth of that Commandment God our Heavenly Father Himself. Of course Jesus Christ our Savior is the Reason for such obedience. Our first Adam was the cause of our fall, now, our Second Adam is the Reason for our Salvation and Redemption.

God knows . Our duty is to obey and get prepared.
The same question you have asked substitute for “death” . When are you going to die ? Then what ?.......
We trust that God said we will die when and how we don't know.
In the same way He told us about closing events surely they will come even if we don't know exact time thats within His jurisdiction not us.
