If asked, “What central theme runs through all the Bible?” how would you respond? Jesus? The plan of salvation? The cross? Yes to all three, of course! But these three important topics unfold against an even more all-encompassing theme: the great controversy. This theme pervades the Bible, from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation.
The great controversy began in heaven with Lucifer’s rebellion against God. At the heart of this cosmic conflict is the issue of God’s love. Is He fully loving? Does He have the best interests of His creatures in view? Or is He an authoritative dictator desiring only what is in His own self-interest?
This quarter’s lessons trace world history from God’s viewpoint, as prophecy reveals it, from the time of Christ down through the centuries to our day and beyond. God’s very nature is love, and therefore, all His acts are loving, though this fact may not always be evident to finite human beings or even angels. But God’s love is progressively revealed as the great controversy unfolds. We see its height and depth most clearly through the Cross. At Calvary, God’s love was displayed before the entire universe when Christ poured out His life to redeem humanity, and Satan’s ultimate defeat was assured.🌏

When I first came into the church the quarterly was on the book of Revelation and there was all this chatter and concern about living without a mediator and I remember watching pastor Bohr say “Jesus didn’t say “Lo, I am with you until the close of probation”, He said “Lo, I am with you until the end of the world”” and I continue to share that reassurance to this day!

@@indrajfonseka8293 So? It doesn’t say Trinity either but many churches push it in its differing forms. Don’t knock something that you don’t understand. In the big picture, the word probation fits into it, it’s people who are not prepared to understand it in its context, who dismiss it as ‘just SDA dogma’.

The danger with this though is that we are becoming too dependent on the ministry for everything. Why can’t we each sit down and study for ourselves or in small groups etc? With all due respect we need to get to a point where we wrestle with God for ourselves.

My take away for this quarter I summarize as follows: Know the truth by diligent study. Believe the truth. Live the truth with God's help. Share the truth with others. Above all, LOVE the truth. For this, we need the Holy Spirit's help more than any other. We all have these darling sins that we coddle and are reluctant to cut loose because we can't see it. The truth on that matter is often hidden to us because we don't wish to know it. See 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 When we love the truth we delight to do it and are sanctified by it.

Until human beings understand the allegorical, symbolic and figurative story that depicts in the first three chapters of the book of Genesis with two kinds of trees with obviously two kinds of fruits God uses to tell what transpired between 'WORD OF GOD' and the "full-blown human Adam" at the garden of Eden, biblical narrative remains an evasive story to those who never understands God's mind.
One also needs to understand what made God to confront Lucifer(Satan) with 'Eve' not "Adam" who was highly critical about God's desire to admit the first-harvest of redeemed men of 144000 kings and priests from Adam's family as for the Abrahamic Covenant promise to Judah in Genesis49:10 and 1Chronicles 5:1-2 to God's throne room or the "Most Holy" with the 'WORD OF GOD'(Rev 3:21) who happened to be the former cherub who was covering God's throne, that reveals something God wants to keep as a secret from this world under Satan the Devil during this age but only to reveal to His called, chosen and faithful first-harvest of redeemed men whom God expects to admit to His own family as His eternal ruling family with the "WORD OF GOD" to replace the human self rule with God's rule as Jesus confirmed to His chosen disciples in Matthew13:10-11, and what caused Adam to live apart since their decision from God's presence with no access to the "Tree of life" which is symbolically the God's Spirit and also subject to the first death.
The whole biblical narrative is pivotal on God's character of love and full-blown Adam who was not a baby or even a child but an adult and what God's main character of love required based on the definition of "love" in establishing a "Marriage Covenant" between two individuals based on "love".
It all comes down to the expressiveness of "freedom of choice" between two adults who can make an informed decision without one enforcing his will on the other!
It is God's character of love that never allowed Him to force His rule on Adam at the garden of Eden or on Noah's family when God Himself brought the human race reduced to just 8 humans.
It would have been the ideal time for such an enforcement if it required but it prevented Him from doing so because it was God who brought the flood on human race and not humans.
It was God's desire to destroy the antediluvian race of Adam because of the unprecedented wickedness.
Finally, only time God can enforce His rule on human family is when humans themselves bring their race to the point of wipe out and disqualify them from their self rule.
As the author and creator of human family, Sovereign LORD has all the right to preserve his human project to which He made a selfless sacrifice of His only other member in His family.
Having done that God cannot simply sit back and let humans destroy themselves for His Son became the second Adam and their Messiah.
God will then be able to enforce His rule with Christ Jesus and His bride of 144000 redeemed first-fruits who themselves are all from Adam's family after God who Himself is "Spirit"(John 4:24) have recreated Himself in a team of "god beings" who are now His own family to rule over survivors from Adam's mortal family in the last human war-Nuclear World War 3.
Reason why Jesus called this upcoming situation as an "end of an age" when God bring this age of human self rule to a close.
End of an age is a very serious business because , it is going to be a new beginning for Adam's family with only a remnant going to be saved mortally only for the sake of Christ and His bride of 144000 redeemed men whom God has chosen with God's intervention as Jesus warned in Matthew 24:22 and Mark 13:20 to preserve first Adam's bloodline.
In spite Jesus knew very well it is the Nuclear Armageddon that brings this age to a close, God's word prohibited using such phrases 2000 years ago as the nuclear age has not yet arrive and also the "Word of God" is written as an encrypted literature of God's mind!

I heard the gentleman reciting Rev 21:3-4 to give your audience the impression scripture meant for the redeemed.
    Are you sure?
"Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men..."(vs 3)
    Before verse 3 John wrote;
"I, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband"(vs 2).
    NOTE:
"Holy City", "New Jerusalem" (vs 2) and "tabernacle of God"(vs 3) are all meant for "the bride adorned for her husband", meaning "Most Holy" where bride of Christ(144000 redeemed men) reside (Rev 5:9-10; 7:1-8 and 14:1-5).
When John says, "It is with men", "men" means flesh and blood humans.
John simply wants to say, the "Eden" lost 7 millenniums ago to Adam and Eve has being restored back to Adam's family by God.
John refers to verse 4 for "Mortal Human Family of Adam" who are now being ruled by Christ and His bride of 144000 redeemed men.
The tears, sorrow, crying, pain all that physical stuff experience by humans today meant for flesh and blood and not for Christ's bride!
Why would bride of Christ cry, shed tears have sorrow and pain?
Disciples like Paul and peter who had been martyred and raised to life are now over the moon!
When John says, "no more death", it doesn't apply to redeemed 144,000 sons of God.
They are raised to eternal life.
"No Mor Death" is for humans, both men, women and children are not having the first death anymore!
No more funeral houses and funeral parlors.
You don't have to spend for coffins anymore! ...How do you like that?
Remember with the fall of Adam, 7000 years ago, they lost access to "Tree of life" and now "Tree of life" is restored back to Adam's mortal family...They were subject to death and Devil had the power over the death.
In other words, what lost in Eden is now restored back!...Are you all happy?
Bible story is all about restoration of what was lost to Adam and Eve is now restored back after 7 Millennia and now being ruled by God Almighty who is Spirit(John 4:24) who has recreated a "Ruling Family for Him" from Adam, that is Christ Jesus and 24 Elders and 144000 redeemed sons of God!
This is that bible story you never understood and God kept it a secret from you but only revealed to His called, chosen and faithful 144000 men living in the last days!
Most of these truths were not even not known to the saints from the period of Old Covenant period.
It is God's way of revealing His secrets progressively as we approach the end of this age.
