I'll say what everyone's thinking. This might be the greatest film photography channel on youtube. While everyone else's channel is losing their spark, this one's only getting better
I’m not gonna lie, your channel has ben my comfort watch for this past few years. I guess I just like the calm half assed vibe you bring lol, but seriously your music choice, timing, and sometimes you also include the part without any music really makes me immersed into the video. God it’s just so soothing everytime I watch any of your vids. Keep doing what you’re doing Jason, and best of luck for your photography career
Just wanted to say, I too drove the 400ISO Lexus for years (until my sister totaled it). Mine was a 91 model and it’s one of the greatest cars ever made, never sell it.
This is why like film photography channels. Focussing more on the photography aspect rather then every video talking about gear and tricks when it comes to digital photography
Pro tip: If you ever want a free Leica or Mamiya 7, just post up in an abandoned building in California for a few days. Some unfortunate film photographer will eventually wonder in and you'll walk out with a free camera
This channel inspires me. Only picked up film photography in September of last year. Done camera stuff, videography, for the past 6-7 years. But film is so much more enjoyable.. i feel closest to the art of photography with it. So thanks for inspiring myself and I’m sure many others.
Besides the hilarious commentary, the anecdotes, the gorgeous photography, and Baxter, I love the music played on these videos. I'm always pausing and asking my phone "what song is this" and growing my playlists.
Another deadpan masterpiece. I bought a new Pentax 6 by 7 in 1976, sadly I sold it a few years later, for more than I paid for it, but a fraction of what it would be worth today. I hope it lives on.
This is pure fun to watch. To leave your wife & dog to "go to store", but takes off in the pursuit of an adventure is amazing. Love the scene and place.
Your morning sequence on this and the mood of the music is quite a poignant moment. This place is mystery and beauty and forgotten dreams - great subject matter in this place.
Half-assed and lacking direction. I knew there was an added attraction to this video but wasn't quite sure exactly what it was. But there it is. Half-assed and lacking direction. That always appealed to me. And so did good photography trips. This video has it all. Thank you.
The absolute sheer fucking consistency of excellent composition and lens agility here is inspirational. I don't know which combo I like more, and that's all you. Glorious scene, expertly worked.
I've honestly been inspired by your work, I very recently got into film photography and had my first roll of film developed and scanned and I am amazed by the results! Thank you for inspiring me into taking my first steps in film photography!
Glad to see the LS400 getting love in these comments. High key a dream car to own one day, hopefully they stay somewhat cheap. That engine will outlive any of us.
Really glad you went back here with cameras that are easier to use and don’t make you question what you are doing with your life lol great photos! From both times!
I just watched this video for a second time. Great job delivering a fun watch. I enjoy your travels because you film so much of the behind the scenes elements. Gas stations, hotels, diners, etc. Keep up the great work. I noticed you seem to be using an analog video camera? Can you talk about that in a future video?
I did enjoy this video and I have to say I like your compositions this time way better than in the first video. Especially the X-Pan panoramas are very nice. You seem to have a real feel for that format. I didn't comment on the last video but ironically a lot of your large format shots seemed at least a little rushed to me. Feels like you are not in you comfort zone.
Ah the "i was abdupted by aliens" story.must be kept for the longer road trips. Some great photos and iinspiration to revist old locations. great video 2x👍
I stumbled across this spot in October ‘23 whilst on a road trip. Happy to see it again on here. I only had a few minutes to shoot and wasn’t feeling the feral killer vibes a lot of the buildings give off, so external shots only for me. Appreciate you taking those risks on our behalf 🫡

Yes absolutely
I find the lack of horny raccoons concerning…
Check vuhlandes
The Art of Photography is a great show, so is Photographic Eye, and Dan Milnor.
尬吹也要有个度

This guy put it into words
and sweet, subtle sound design...
That car ISO joke caught me off guard in the most positive way
Just wanted to say, I too drove the 400ISO Lexus for years (until my sister totaled it). Mine was a 91 model and it’s one of the greatest cars ever made, never sell it.
Of course you'd be into analog cameras, Rhett!
Analog Cameras, Cars and Guitars. Good stuff. Greetings to Rick. ;)
absolute jdm legend
“Half assed and lacking direction” is pretty much how I go through life.

13:28 is giving off some Edward Hopper vibe, looks painterly af.

the frame at 13:27 is an ed hopper painting
Honestly one of the best film channel out there. Beautiful pictures and hilarious humour! Always excited to see when grainydays post!
12:10 this is my favourite of the entire video and I can’t explain why.
Finally some decent photography from Jason.
Rude
😂
Those TMAX shots are so good, especially the last one with the chair!
Jason, seriously, your channel is so incredibly good. You have insane talent.
2:02 - Very carefully covering license plate
3:11 - Very carefully showing the entire license plate
😂
those Xpan shots look incredible. like a frame out of a movie.

Some of your best shots. The interior shots are better in color. Damn, you had some good light and subject matter! Glad you went back.
Just when I was about to start studying. Well done Jason!
The TV on the floor was my favorite, nice video
As long as people drive 10h by car, only to take some photographs, I have no hope, that our planet can be rescued....
You’re a master of your craft. Absolutely love your videos.

That Pentax 1:2.8 75mm is just awesome.
I'm learning english and your videos are the best classes
Jason slowly spilling the beans that he has an old toyota fetish
Oh shit, the Shrekchup has made its appearance. Still happy with my decision over the Mamamamiya 7.
Different conditions and preparing matters so much more than the tool sometimes. It's a great reminder. Loved the images from this video
These photos are slowly curing my depression.
I've honestly been inspired by your work, I very recently got into film photography and had my first roll of film developed and scanned and I am amazed by the results! Thank you for inspiring me into taking my first steps in film photography!
That lighting on the truck in the motel sign photo is something else 🤟🏻 great shot
Glad to see the LS400 getting love in these comments. High key a dream car to own one day, hopefully they stay somewhat cheap. That engine will outlive any of us.
9:20 I actually think thats one of the better e100 shots.
This is definitely the best film photography channel, can’t wait for the next video
Thank you Jason once again for making my week as I'm sure it does for the majority of those who watch your videos as well.
Really glad you went back here with cameras that are easier to use and don’t make you question what you are doing with your life lol great photos! From both times!
Vertical Xpan shot = satisfaction
Damn great revisit and superb vibes in this ep, these photos slapped my ass so hard that it's become roasted from sheer kinetic force.
beautiful music choices Jason

sunset shots were pretty good, nice filter application,,,
This is my favorite work you've ever shown on this channel.
That lexus is 🔥
SMC 75mm 2.8? Legendary indeed. Recently heard matt day say it’s on his what-to-get list.
I see that youtube life pays off. First that sick Toyota 4runner and now dope Lexus.
Im really starting to notice that Jason have a great taste for old toyota, he know whats up
9:12 came out so well.
Great Video. Glad to see you guys returned, as there sure is a lot to document. Keep'm coming. KB
Yesss I love getting on RUclips and seeing you have a new upload. Love love love this channel.
Very inspiring. This channel is a gem. Possibly my new favorite film photography channel.
Just commenting to say come to Portland! It's even more fun now then when you were originally planning to visit!
I did enjoy this video and I have to say I like your compositions this time way better than in the first video. Especially the X-Pan panoramas are very nice. definitely the best subtle comedy ever, love your channel and your jokes ha
Ah the "i was abdupted by aliens" story.must be kept for the longer road trips.
Some great photos and iinspiration to revist old locations. great video 2x👍
Using Leica glass at last, you sold enough toilet pictures then. Excellent.
11:00 is this a bolex? Love the 16mm footage
all of the photos were so good this video
I really like many of your shots. Even better, you are a master at creating a laid-back vibe. Great videos!
Just wanna confirm that alt+f4 is indeed the "subscribe" shortcut.
Having to wait a fortnight between each upload feels like an eternity! Love the black and whit shots!
7:49 is bar far the best. It's also one of his best compositions ever. The car looks in motion.
Dude your videos are beautiful, I love the format and your comedy style. Plus the photos are amazing, that ektachrome shot is too juicy
Another brilliant video, love the location, the cinematography and the amazing film images.
Gotta stick around to see which photo Jason chooses on the subscribe screen
Excellent video as always. One of the most enjoyable photography/film RUclips channels. Bravo!
The smashed window at 7:11 looks like a man wearing a cowboy hat. probably a self portrait of duster who shot the window out.
I don't give a care about photorgaphy, i'm hear for the jokes.
Need more photos of that Lexus.
400 ISO car. Lovely chill video as always.
I like the pairing of the gigantic tripod head and the XPan.
The 400 ISO joke was great.
I like your musical choice for the tail end of the video before the sponsor
You are the best photography RUclipsr without a doubt.
Well this might be my favorite video you've ever done Jason!! Keep it up!!!
That LS400 is cleeeeeann
Idk how many times I've said it before, but Jason you're the best, period.
Thanks for the laughs dude , I always look forward to watching your videos
8:17 waiting for this banger in the print shop
Biggest fear I'd have is stepping on a nail in those places.
Nice work again gorgeous location
I sure enjoy this content and your execution of images with great tools. Enjoyable
This channel gives me life
Great video and great shots! Always fun to watch you take photos.
Another great set of shots! Always looking forward to the next one
Those Ektachrome shots are delicious
been here since 250 subs and I still love that you drop the shrek easter eggs like you did in your early videos hahaha
That first image popped up and had me like "Ooooo 😯"
so emotional. I'm going to sit in the dark now.
i love your deadpan humor.
You really got some great shots there. Only your Route 66 vid had so many bangers. I guess you were in your element.
What up, dude? Blown away by your simple enthusiasm.
I love it when he do the peace sign 😂
Your work keep on getting better like rotting grape juice
