Umm actually, when ash got sick Misty literally traveled in a harsh rain and swamp environment and dived into a lake to get the healing herb, when push comes to shove, Misty can take better care of Ash than any Poke-girl. Misty gave Ash a hard time and to make him humble and hence why by the time Ash met serena he had genuinely grown up from being a brat and idiot to a kind Pokémon trainer. Imagine if serena met Ash in season 1....lol, right, only Misty could help him despite his stupidity. Not to mention Serena is a stalker, she tracked down Ash and kissed him without consent. Serena was a creep and the one liked Ash but Ash didn't. Misty had the biggest personality growth over Ash. The only people who like Serena are the ones who grow up with Pokemon XY whereas i watched it from the beginning. Also, when Misty left Ash.... he was crying. When serena left, he was happy.
A director did confirm Ash and Serena would be together. Around the time of their reunion in journeys, this was leaked. We can only hope for some kind of epilogue to Ash's story. He actually grows up, understands his feelings for Serena (which we have seen through XY), marrys her, becomes Pokemon master, unlocks his aura abilities (revealed in mystery of mew), and has a family. We need a proper goodbye to our hero

I know many fans wanted this to happen but I don’t think the writers or Tomiyasu want it to happen. Tomiyasu would have Ash marry Dawn or Chloe since they were the only two of Ash’s companions who actually watched him beat Leon live at the stadium.
I'm a bigger fan of Dawn x Ash but Serena x Ash is so close they almost tie. Dawn has just been there for our boy since they met and travels to cheer for him during every championship. A true friend/ gf figure in my books!

I know many fans wanted this to happen but I don’t think the writers or Tomiyasu want it to happen. Tomiyasu would have Ash marry Dawn or Chloe since they were the only two of Ash’s companions who actually watched him beat Leon live at the stadium.
I'm a bigger fan of Dawn x Ash but Serena x Ash is so close they almost tie. Dawn has just been there for our boy since they met and travels to cheer for him during every championship. A true friend/ gf figure in my books!

I must confess, Ash & Serena's fight was my least favourite moment in the whole of the XY series
(aside from the Kalos League final), I knew it would happen at some point but it was still tough to watch.

Umm actually, when ash got sick Misty literally traveled in a harsh rain and swamp environment and dived into a lake to get the healing herb, when push comes to shove, Misty can take better care of Ash than any Poke-girl. Misty gave Ash a hard time and to make him humble and hence why by the time Ash met serena he had genuinely grown up from being a brat and idiot to a kind Pokémon trainer. Imagine if serena met Ash in season 1....lol, right, only Misty could help him despite his stupidity. Not to mention Serena is a stalker, she tracked down Ash and kissed him without consent. Serena was a creep and the one liked Ash but Ash didn't. Misty had the biggest personality growth over Ash. The only people who like Serena are the ones who grow up with Pokemon XY whereas i watched it from the beginning. Also, when Misty left Ash.... he was crying. When serena left, he was happy.
