However, the USA does currently lead in number of total buildings overall. 5,418 compared to Chinas 4,480. Just thought i'd throw that little piece of info out there.

Even though Indonesia is on the list, I prefer cities with tall trees rather than tall buildings. Not only beautiful but when walking under it feels fresher. And that can be felt in the city of Bogor, which borders Jakarta. When in Jakarta is full of tall buildings but in Bogor there are many giant trees that have been hundreds of years old

With current technology, in order to build taller, they will need to make building like salesforce tower in SF, but that require huge expenditure only for construction of foundation to make sure that they are earthquake proof design
Cities like Beijing and Chongqing are both in active seismic zones, yet both have plenty of skyscrapers. Being in an earthquake prone area isn't the only factor limiting tall buildings.

There are many residential buildings in buildings in China, most of which are 100 or 50 meters tall. If you count these Chinese high-rise buildings, it will be amazing

China obviously dominates when it comes to skyscrapers (150 meters or taller). But when it comes to buildings "100" meters or taller, it's much closer. The USA has 2,779 and china has 3,057. However, the USA does currently lead in number of total buildings overall. 5,418 compared to Chinas 4,480. Just thought i'd throw that little piece of info out there.
