I recently started playing this and I gotta say I like the soundtrack. It feels like a straight up survival game early on more than a regular action rpg.
Hi since I smashed my console a couple of years ago, I haven't been playing Elex but it was at the time the game I spent the most time on, I was really addicted. How is Elex 2? Would it be a rason enough for me to get a new console in a probable future?
@@moussetache1815 Sadly, Elex 2 is mediocre game. They improved some things, but others are worse than in Elex 1. Game feels rushed, especially in Chapter 3 and 4. Optimization is abysmal, reminds me of Gothic 3 optimization (especially on PC, even on RTX cards it's impossible to get 60 FPS). At the same time it looks similar to Elex 1, but face models are terrible and worse than in Elex 1. Music is almost the same, they used again most of it from Elex 1, which I find quite lazy. I have no idea what happened with Elex 2. THQ Nordic forced them to release the game early? Some internal issues inside Piranha Bytes studio? They had 5 years... You can still sense some "Gothic magic" there and the game is playable but it is still quite disappointment considering the fact that they had few times bigger budget. I heard that on PS5/Xbox you will get relatively stable 30FPS. However, no option to get 60 FPS. I recommend this game only on 50% sale, which should happen soon, since the game sold very poorly (3 times less sales than in Elex 1).
@@inquerion8867 Half of production time was during the Covid-19 pandemic. In Germany, all multi-person offices were closed down. Piranha Bytes had like 30 people stuffed into a small terraced house, meaning they all had to go home. Worse, schools were closed, too meaning large part of the team had to homeschool their kids. The game was not rushed, rather they already got a year extra but then were forced to release because THQ Nordic is not Rockstar Games who only publishes when it's done. THQ Nordic has to release to bring cash in to stay operable. When you are forced to release, you have to make a production choice: Either publish unfinished, like Gothic 3, and hope that you survive the shitstorm to fix it later, or finish the early parts that everyone plays and fill the rest that only 20% of players experience with grinder quests. Gothic I was exactly like that, too, there are no quests past the first act and you are basically just clearing the map, and you know from old interviews and leaked Alphas that many planned and halfway finished features landed on the chopping block. Had they not released back then and like that, there would never have been any PB since they went in on Gothic I with their personal money. Which makes me kinda sad now that PB is closed, because I don't think they did wrong from what was possible. There are no big money publishers for artsy AA titles and PB always had to work with way too tight schedules for their small team size.

Underrated
Thank you for uploading and separating the songs. Great OST to listen to while working!
Soundtrack which playing while fighting with Alb's Colossi (Mechs) is the best
Good music

@@inquerion8867 Hey thank you very much for the detailed answer. it's a shame, really, as Elex was one of my best gaming experience.
@@moussetache1815 If you liked Elex 1 so much, I still recommend to try Elex 2, but on sale.

This misses the elevator music tracks from Herbert's Radio show though, I think :D
Can´t beat the good Risen 1 and 2 Soundtracks
