I just finished the game and it was an amazing experience. I've played all the big titles this year, but this is the most fun I've had in years, made me feel excited about a game the way I felt years ago with Gothic. When I saw the credits roll in and special thanks it was really moving to see all the special thanks and the group of people behind the game. I could literally tell how much heart and passion they put into their games despite the people who chose to be negative and hate on their games and they've been delivering games with soul for many years. I wish I could support them more than just purchasing the game, but I really hope that they will confirm Elex 2! PB has always been and will always be my favorite studio.
YEAH THIS GAME its better than risen but still have a lot of shit in it.. man thoose mecanics with fighting broke half of my nervs .. granade and fire launchers hit thrue stone and more stuff ..pff
Once I joined the clerics I already was way too overleveled and previously only fought with a hunters bow, then I got a plasma rifle and that stunlock shit made the rest a far too easy even more. Still, I enjoyed playing through the story and becoming even more god a lot and PB showed once again that they are capable of making games that are primarily _fun_, which many studios can't accomplish anymore in this time and age, be it because of shoehorned agendas, microtransactions, DLC or whatnot. Hyped for Elex 2 and the cheapass reason to start at level 1 :D
Luke Cakewalker, ELEX 2 has already been announced and sales are quite admirable for a small studio, not to mention the response has been, while not entirely positive by any stretch of the imagination, respectable at the very least. So please mate, don't spread misinformation.
This isn't the real ending. The real ending is that after you deal with the hybrid in whichever way you choose you go back and talk to Zardom. Than you get the actual ending credits with how the story unfolded for each hero.
These game remind me of Mars War log and Technomancer by Spiders. In the same way how they provide depth in their narrative but are lacking in combat and movement due to budgetary constraints.
I played Elex since day one. Died a hundred times through the first 15 hours. I brewed masses of elex potions to raise my stats and worked hard to get prepared for the final battle against the hybrid... killed him with TWO strokes of an two-handed axe... What's up with this game?
The ending was a bit of a let down. You invade the Ice Place with not much resistance, the stand-off was pretty dull, and your coldness decides what you're going to do with the Hybrid. For me, I killed the Hybrid with my OP plasma rifle (those war machines were so annoying), and the final moments of the game were, "Let's visit every faction leader and tell them another shit storm is coming soon." Anyway, for a team of 30 people, this was a pretty good fucking game.
I may be wrong but i dont think it has to do with cold. Member when you were talking to sestex and you had a dialog where you could say you wanted hybrid dead or to reason with it? If you choose dead the separatists join you but if you choose the other one they dont. Then it says "this will have far reaching consequences".... or does that just mean they dont help you in final battle?
As I understand it, you have to have enough humanity to trigger the conversation from the Berserker leader during his questline - he'll give you the mana that you'll use on the Hybrid, and then you automatically put it in after the boss fight.
I don't understand it, i do everything to berserks and i was one. I had like 0 cold and still mana think didn't work even if i do same dialogs with low cold like on this video, he just died. This is weird.

Most my decisions was to cold decreased for be emotional, that was few answers that i had on game start and maybe 1 in middle game that cold increased, rest i answer good to decreased cold or load game to answer again. Even Kaja become my lover
i was more on the irrational side of things with the choices i've made and for me he just didn't stand back up. wich is disappointing, i wanted to do the mana thing too but didn't even get the chance. not well designed in my opinion.
I hate the choice system in ELEX; completely ruined the game for me. sure if I do somthing sombody does not like then have them react in a way or another, but don't dictate my own actions becuase my choices were considered "cold"...
Soulless RJ they said there is no DLC, but Elex 2 is definitely in the works. But I'm begging for an easy or casual mode to be implemented in the sequel.
this is piranha bytes game, abuse combat and win, while early game is tough you can easily win almost any fight by stunlocking enemy with weapons like flamethrower, plasma gun, rocket launcher, grenade launcher and black hole(cleric only!) also there is option to dodge a lot during swordfight or you can abuse jetpack and avoid hard fights i was playing on hard, its hard early but player quickly snowballs
Frank 97 I can see that but fighting against mobile opponents would be terrible since ranged combat in this game is a bit bad and the devs of PB can only do so much to improve.
you easily make your build OP like we see in this video, all BP games are like that, if you follow the best practises to your charachter build, you can easily defeats all your opponents.
Adessa quest and ending both pissed me of. Why after all my effort separatist joined outlaw and why I didn't have freedom to choose ending? PB logic always works in mysterious ways. Weird german people. I thought low cold level gives you freedom of choice. I avoided drinking elex whole game. Maybe used about 10 strong and 20 regular all together and all that for no reason at all. Basically game supports neutrality. IE over level ASAP with potions and then get cold level down to neutral through dialogs option. Items. Feel free to sell everything. You only need to upgrade 1 sword, bow and to make whole bunch of HP potions. Fells kinda stupid. Companions. Berserk is very useful with the bow from high ground. Mage girl is actually helpful sometimes but horrible on high grounds, Nasty is fun. Droid and Ray are useless. Clerik and Arx are both boring. I reasonably like the game but will not play it again ever.
actualy bows were just not bad, but still better than laser rifle, best weapons were those what can stun or knock down enemies, on high difficulity early game is only based on avoiding combat or abusing knock down
@@arekkrol9758 War Bow 3 has the highest damage in the game of all weapons. With that said I agree that damage isn't everything and the utility of stun/knock back as well as AoE damage far outweigh it in many occasions.

Well it's a PB game so yeah xD Still Gothic 2 is better than this game in my opinion.
I expect a Xardas esque return of someone in the second game. Lets hope there is one, PB games are the best!

You need to be neutral. Being emotional causes you to kill the Hybrid, being cold lets you rejoin the Hybrid.

i think you have to be between emotional and cold. It worked in my case.

No you dont have to be a beserk. I was a cleric and it worked for me. You dont even need a high cold rank. My was intuitive and i got the mana ending.
