WADA knew about Knighton before the Olympics so why they did not appeal the ruling before?

@@CharmGreen-l2c It's not WADA who's appealing, it's World Athletics AIU and the AIU don't just appeal a case willy nilly. They first have to learn all the facts that are available from the testing agency and the athlete, read the decision of the Tribunal and then obtain Legal Advice on how to proceed. This takes time and the AIU didn't have the time to do all that they needed to do in order to file their appeal to CAS prior to the Olympics. The Tribunal only made their decision in time for Erryion Knighton to run at USATF Olympic Trials.

@Coaches Desk TV - Brother, this was inevitable, just like December's arrival. WADA was complicit in allowing this brother to compete even after testing positive for PEDs. His excuse about bad food is laughable, and the AIU has clarified that this case isn’t over, calling out WADA for their double standards. Meanwhile, other athletes, like the one from Africa, have been suspended for the same reason-four years, no less. Let’s be clear: Knighton is not a kid; he’s a professional. The double standards are obvious. Yes, he’s a black man, but if he’s being misled by bad actors, like his coach, then he needs to come forward and name names. That’s the only way to get to the bottom of this. The U.S.'s double standards, their blatant bullying, and their reliance on perceived ‘power’ backed by money are starting to crumble, and the AIU has made it clear that this cannot be tolerated. There's even talk of moving the 2028 Olympics to another country, though we know that's likely just a threat. But it’s high time someone stood up to WADA and called them out, as other countries don’t enjoy such privileges.
WADA had absolutely nothing to do with this Case. It was USADA that tested him and charged him and now it's world Athletics AIU that is appealing the no fault decision.
The US will be hosting the next Olympics and history has shown us how they function.

I strongly believe the vast amount of drug testing done in China saved Jamaican athletes. Atlanta 1996 too Merlene Ottey and US gail devers race was also done by photo finished and the gold awarded to devers. That is why we have win them with a little distance. I remember when Sébastien Coe and WADA was so happy when bolt beat Gatlin in the interview they did not want Gatlin with the scandals to be the face. Christopher Taylor didn't know what he was doing. He pleaded guilty to evading, refusing and failing to give WADA a biological sample and then he agreed to accept a 30 months ban.

Athletes can have one off on a perfect day that they can't always replicate. Hence why you have so many people who have been hyped up in the past as being the next biggest thing, only for them to fade out when get older. FDA and the US department of Agriculture need to investigate this matter. The public is informed by the government that US food system is safe. We need to know where he got the meat.

Coach, WADA focus too much on track and field, in comparison to other sports such as swimming and ice hockey. Track and field isn't as popular because of all the scrutiny.

aiu and waka are trying to get even with usada. in January 2021, 23 Chinese swimmers tested positive for TMZ, wada swept the case under the rug. many of those athletes in that group were allowed to compete in Tokyo Olympics and in this year paris olympics. so now that Knighton were allowed to compete at the paris Olympics despite his positive test, so aiu filed for appeal, to get even with usada.
Even if it truly wasn't his fault and it wasn't purposeful it was in his system. They could have been understanding and given him a short term ban and have him opt out of the Olympics, Chris Taylor had to miss Olympics cause he had to catch a flight and missed that test. They are wreckless had he won it would have been chaos, no one would believe it was legit. And while it's something used in meats why every other athlete isn't being positive for this? Did they spike that particular cow more than normal? How did they even trace this after he consumed it? You have to factor in cooking and other stuff of that specific meat he ate.
World Athletics isn't crumbling. With stars like Mondo in the Pole Vault, Sydney and Warlholm in the 400mh, Kipyegon in the 1500m, Cheptagi in the 10000m, Mahuchikh in the High Jump, Rojas in the Tripple Jump and Crouser in the Shot Put, all breaking WRs when they are at their best, World Athletics is in very good hands.

The US have been known for this kind of behaviour for years... this all started with Ben Johnson.
The US called him out because he defeated the us when Carl Lewis and other us athletes were clearly taking steroids.

Information from the FDA
Some of the approved drugs are synthetic versions of the natural hormones, such as trenbolone acetate and zeranol. Just like the natural hormone implants, before FDA approved these drugs, FDA required information and/or toxicological testing in laboratory animals to determine safe levels in the animal products that we eat (edible tissues). Furthermore, FDA required that the manufacturers demonstrate that the amount of hormone left in each edible tissue after treatment is below the appropriate safe level. As described above, a safe level is a level which would be expected to have no harmful effect in humans.

How could USADA apply sanctions to Sha'Carri for the drug derived from marijuana use in her system, yet not sanction Knighton for a more serious PED found in his system?
@@Life1x2 USADA don't apply sanctions, they charge athletes with doping violations and an independent arbitration tribunal determine whether the athlete is guilty of the doping violation and if so, what sanctions to apply to the athlete based on the rules. Each case is determined base on the facts of the individual case.
Sha'Carri admitted to using marijuana, however in Erryion's case he was able to provide a sample of the meat that he bought from a bakery that he suspected was the reason for his positive drug test and the results showed that the meat was actually contaminated. As a result, the Tribunal found that Erryion wasn't at fault for his positive drug test and that was the reason they didn't sanction him.

Commentators have been mentioning this situation since the US trials and wondering why the situation seemed to have been handled in a hush-hush manner and only revealed once the ban(?) had been served. Russia/East Germany/USA/China historical use of drug violations in athletics (always a punch in the gut and tarnishes the enjoyment for the fans after every major games.

If appealed based on appeals. Not due to insufficient evidence but doe to procedural issues. There are a lot of issues with how the case was handled and dismissed.
That's the system. An athlete is charged with a doping violation by an anti doping agency, in this case USADA. The matter is heard and determined by an Independent Arbitration Tribunal in order to determined whether the athlete is guilty of the doping violation and if so what sanction to impose. After the decision of the Independent Arbitration Tribunal is given, the athlete, the anti doping agency, in this case USADA or World Athletics AIU can appeal the decision to The Court of Arbitration for Sports - CAS, for a final decision on the particular doping violation.
Surprised? Nope! It was allowed in a particular era. Why do you think it won't be allowed in another?

Heartbreaking but we've not been able to trust results for decades, we know the name of the athlete who was allowed to compete. There are plans afoot to hold The Enhanced Games next year with no testing - competitors can use performance enhancing drugs.
