G'day Paul, your spot on with your diagnosis, l have fallen for that mistake having the lever in the wrong position when setting points at full advanced, this will be a good lesson for others, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
Yep I’ve done it too. Fortunately I caught it before I fully assembled the bike.
