This is the Pink Floyd "Live in Pompeii" equivalent of Tame Impala for me. Timeless; one day you will watch this and just lose yourself in nostalgia. Absolutely incredible.
Alter ego was the first time I had a least favorite song on an album turn into my absolute favorite after listening to the album enough. Literally every time I’m listening to a record for the first time and there’s a song I don’t like I think about alter ego and the fact that that song might end up being my favorite at some point 🙃.
This whole album was my greatest company during the loneliest time in my life. Whenever I listen to any track from this album, I immediately have flashbacks, and it all just feels like a dream. I fucken LOVE Tame Impala. 🤟❤
I first listened to it during a massive thunderstorm which turned into a tornado. I sat on my front porch and felt the world go from a sunny day to a sick, green sky in 45 minutes. I'll never ever forget that. This was the perfect soundtrack to watching nature at her most wrathful.

Even if it's just Kevin's project, the way the play together is amazing, everytime i listen to this session, it makes me feel happy and powerfull, love them.
Their performances of these songs now are leagues ahead of when they first toured for the album 10 years ago. The live mix, Kevin’s vocals, just how in sync they all are… a real testament to how much they’ve all grown as musicians
I remember jamming to this album in ‘13. Fresh out of high school and trying to figure life out. Flash forward 8 years this music still resonates with me and it’s absolutely amazing to hear these gems live again. Much love Tame Impala, from South Carolina
I swear the best part of this performance is Julian. You’d think he wrote and performed these drum parts on the record. Kevin’s drumming has such a unique flavor and Julian performs everything so accurately (more so than literally any other live version of innerspeaker songs I’ve seen before) while still having his own panache.
@@wes4192 Jay was just as good in my opinion and had a more unrefined sound that more matched kevins. As kevins sound has progressed and gotten a bit "neater" however, I think Julian is a better fit for the job.

0:42 everytime I hear the intro to It is Not Meant to Be, I'm instantly transported to the moment I first heard Innerspeaker about 11 years ago, and that overwhelming happy feeling I had the whole time.
I've been so let down by all live performances of Runway Houses City Clouds that I've come across on YT due to them performing only half the track or missing a certain something (I can't put my finger on it). But THIS ONE here really nailed it and brought me some type of satisfaction that I've been yearning for with this track. Amazing. I also love how they brought back that ending to Expectation. I wasn't really expecting it (no pun). But they brought that shit back and wowowowowowow. So happy they did this!

These guys are just such a tight band and all members have such killer tone control and just overall control of their instruments that every live recording sounds like a studio version it’s crazy how much Kevin’s perfected their sound
This has to be one of the best. Ever since I heard This album it’s been in constant rotation. It never gets old. Can’t get into the newer slower stuff but really enjoyed this and Lonerism. Please return to this era and make us all happy with the next album. Thanks a million for even doing this.
I remember seeing MGMT in 2010 and some band called Tame Impala was opening. I was blown away by the song writing and sound coming from them, all tracks from this album. I love seeing the progression and what has come since, but this album will always be special to me.
I heard "Elephant" on a TV commercial (In '12 or '13?) and was blown away because I thought it was some lost John Lennon track. I mistakenly bought this album thinking it included "Elephant". One of my best mistakes. A bedroom psych-rock masterpiece.
I got into tame impala last year after they released TSR, and I think innerspeaker is the best album, although there's no nostalgia in it for me. Not yet at least.
They have done, the music of all the XX & XXI Century, in all the Songs they play. The Beatles, didn't know what more they could do. Tame Impala's leader, found the way: from heavy rock to grunge, without Lost his own personalaty. The Slow Rush, is a jewel, but it is fifth one. In Spain, there are more People, that they never has heard their music. I like his music, and his letters. Good luck.

Living In Greece found tame impala back in 2010,really into this kind of music,their music filled our summers along allah las,sweet smoke almums!After innerspeaker and lonerism i really was dissapointed by their work,they explored a genre which has nothing to do with this magnificent work above!I always try to find what they are doing and such a moment was now as this live perfomance is amazing!

I disagree. Jay would've been much better on the drums, but of course Kevin is the best drummer in that lot, for sure.
