One single thing that binds reality together: -- Money -- . That's it, that's the American answer to this question.

Being content to be exclusively online is Gnosticism. There is no substitute for being in shared physical, dirty, wonderful space.

Spiritual moments/experiences….. are they helpful or are they an impediment to true enlightenment because it appears to me to be a form of dualism.

One thing that came to mind about zoom calls from this video is that if we said a prayer of some kind, a ritual if you will, to start the call similar to how everybody says “bye” or “thank you” at the end of a call then it could become more of a higher fractal experience.

Comment, made at 8.37. We are a diverse bunch, in many ways, thank God, for we need to be thus to function as a society. If we focus on the same point, which I believe we should, we are all looking at it from a different place, so we are looking in somewhat different directions, yet, nevertheless, towards the same point.

The fact that y’all are “late to the game” (in one sense) while simultaneously being so far ahead of the game is mind boggling.

On the folkish nationalism stuff... I highly doubt people back in the day would feel so nervous or afraid talking about race or ethnic heritage... I mean, God created the nations; we dont exist as "humans" God did not intend for us to live like that... he orderd us through nation-hood and heritage.
So race/ ethicity/ tribe/ family/ folk/ clan etc. is not arbitrary, and group interests exist. The point you made about putting the "ethnic identety" above a persons name is an important one though... nation-hood has its place and it should not be allconsuming.
Although, it is interesting how people in the old testament very often gets introduced by their heritage and bloodline. :)
Greetings from Norway! God bless! :)

Same here. For me, I know that my desire to be in the church is significant enough that I need to move my family of 7 closer to an Orthodox parish. That is a difficult endeavor but I pray about it constantly, work slowly but surely towards that financial goal, I believe God will help to make it happen, and in the meantime I continue to study and learn more about the Orthodox faith and I participate in my parent's Catholic parish and occasionally in the protestant church of my in-laws. Even though those two churches do not hold the fullness of the faith as I believe the Orthodox church does, they are still places of community and worship with people that deeply love Christ. I pray your life circumstances lead you to finding a Orthodox parish home for yourself eventually as well.

Yeah in America the geography has always been a problem for church in general. In times past there were traveling, "circuit" ministers, priests, and preachers that would go from homestead to homestead over huge areas to administer communion. Not that different today except we have more churches but not necessarily good ones, still spread over rural areas. I have no Orthodox church either.
