      Agreed...

    • @96no12
      @96no12 6 месяцев назад +34

      Disagree. The real issue is y'all throw the RnB label on any artist with black skin and then complain when they don't do "RnB music" in the way YOU think it needs to be done, when the artist that u forced that label on has never called themselves a strictly RnB artist.
      The problem with putting a genre label on everything and always approaching music with that mindset, is that it hinders your ability to enjoy and experience the music in its fullness. Black ppl need to open their minds and stop limiting themselves strictly to what we've been fed by these record labels that want to push boxed in black artists and create closed minded black listeners. There's nothing to cross over to when every genre that exists comes from US and our creativity.
      Reclaiming genres of music that was already ours is not "trying to cross over".
      Pop music is BLACK. House music is BLACK. Techno is BLACK. EDM is BLACK. Rock music is BLACK. RnB is suffering because it's oversimplified because we keep calling everyone black "RnB" and then shaming them when they don't meet RnB expectations. Prince wasn't JUST a rock artist just because he held a guitar in his hand. As a black audience, we need to be more open minded and expand our horizons or better yet, support black artists who are RnB genre purists. There's plenty of them out there.

      _are you going to hold white folks to the same standard?_
      Caucasians love both Beyonce and Rihanna so much but why isn’t this same admiration extended to, say, Ari Lennox and Jazmine Sullivan?? I ask that bc the majority have no qualms with liking several white female singers @ the same time eg Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo, Katy Perry, P!nk, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Adele, Britney Spears...

    Firstly I just love her! Every interview I see her in, her talent intelligence humour and wit just flows.
    And most importantly she has all the musical props to back it up.

    A real stand straight up with a microphone (NO GIMICKS), NO MUSIC REQUIRED and touch your soul "Saannger". Her vocal acrobatics are UNMATCHED. Lalah is definitely her Mom & Dad's child. She got it honest.❤❤❤❤❤

    All I can say is I love y’all so much you don’t even know!!!!! I fell in love with Donny Hathaway in my teens with this Christmas and when I found out, he had a daughter when I was in my 20s I had to hear her and I fell in love with her too!! I have been too, two shows with this amazing and comparable beautiful song stress!! I often beg people to go with me to her concerts in Philly because she is such an experience and I love her!! I love her new album. I love the features. I just love her so much thank you thank you thank you thank you!!! So now I can put a heart by her name on my R&B MONEY podcast list lol so when will you be having my beloved Luke James? Loving on y’all from Philly.!!! 😊😍😍😍😍💃🏽💜💜 PS you have made this disabled veteran very happy!!!!!!!! 💜💜💜💜

    The fact that she did multiphonic singing without hesistation was INSANE!! Everytime she does it I'm like in awe! Tank, Lalah, and Jazmine together. MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

    This was the best top 5 song ever 😂 like it takes a special ear to have perfect pitch in the wrong key of a melody in a totally different key. 😂😂😂
    This is my favorite episode alongside Chris Brown and Marsha Ambrosius
