Shanice’s classmates used to make fun of her smile, and she ended up smiling all the way up the charts and into the bank with a classic hit.😂 Joke’s on them.
Yo man, how Tank has a smile on his face while saying he has lost 2 houses and multiple cars is top tier. I probably would have started crying just talking about it 😂
How could they not discuss her gift and instrument in depth? Shanice had perfect pitch and a range and power similar to Mariah and Whitney. Her voice was on that level she wasn't just a singer she was a true vocalist that labels did not know what to do with. Its criminal she was not a superstar she had the IT factor.
She dated for 3 months, then Flex proposed and they married 4 months later. Reminds me of Common's lyrics "It don't take a whole day to recognize sunshine." Iykyk, Love it✨💕✨💕
Shanice brings back so many childhood memories! I remember summertime⛱️🍦🌅 by the pool as a kid while "I love your smile" would play. I tweeted her 14 years ago & she replied!!! I still have that screenshot till this day!!❤
I really wanted them to get more into Silent Prayer. That song still goes crazy till this day. One of my favorite “sing loud in the car while I’m by myself” songs
I just knew that after they interviewed Flex that Shanice was coming afterwards. Can't have Flex without Shanice and Shanice without Flex they come as packaged couple. Shanice still is one of the best underrated R&B Female Vocalist of all time. Polished vocals, Always respected her self image and can still be sexy without taking your clothes off. Legend!!!!!
A class act…still. She is one whose beautiful spirit shines through..literally. She is as beautiful as she is talented! Chante Moore is one thee most underrated artists and I really don’t know why. Her range is insane. Her look, and gift is timeless…I can’t wait for that interview and I know it’s coming!
I had to come in & post after re-watching this again.. I have genuine tears rolling down my face.. I absolutely love Shanice! From her winning "Star Search" to the crazy hairstylist doing the exact same hairstyle on her as Janet Jackson's from the "Pleasure Principle" video to her getting smooched by Ralph Tresvant & all of those older girls wanting to beat her up for it to all of those people who hated her smile then flipped it & made her first hit & "smiled" all the way to the bank to the crazy pitfalls of the industry to act like pregnancy is gross to "Every Woman Dreams" (Take Care of U is my jam off that entire album) to losing everything & coming back up with genuine friends who are solely in your corner & just lastly being married to the most beautiful person who is everything & thensome is an enormous feat to accomplish.. This warmed my heart so much! ❤❤❤❤
Im in awe at all things Shanice! I lOVE her voice, her smile, her character, everything. I'm so happy that she's well & surviving after her double mastectomy, "smiling through it all" Amen! Thank you beautiful Kings for bringing us another real one. I can't wait til Wednesday to find out who will be gracing our presence this Saturday! 😊❤🙏🏿🐐
Say that J Valentine there will be no memorable artist without “Artist Development”. The longevity is a thing of legends and beauty. The lack of training will not give them sustainability. This is why I love R&B Money. 🙏🏿
A true black Queen. I love her soul, smile, voice, and strength. They're a beautiful couple and people can learn what a marriage and true love is all about through their eyes. God bless their continued success. Please keep doing your thing, and you will find that you guys are adorned. Flex and Shanice should be on our tv screens and truly be supported.
My Saturday is NOW complete after watching this episode. One of my favorite!!! She mentioned both Tamia & Chante Moore as her favorite ❤️ And her 1999 album songs are still on repeat for me to this day. Love Shanice and her relationship with Flex is so dope!!
I agree with Shanice, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE JAPAN. I first got over there around 2011 and, all the worries of life within American cities was next to none existent in Japan. Restaurant and bar hopping, navigating city alleyways and riding the train at night, not having to worry about nonsense happening, was incredible. Their 7-eleven meals were a culture shock to me by how delicious they were. I met so many Americans over there who had no intention of moving back to the US. 😂
Another great interview with a super talented but underrated artist. My favorite joints by Shanice: No Half Steppin, It's For You, Lovin You (remake), and Turn Down The Lights in which she SANG her face off on that joint!!! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🔥🔥🔥🔥💜🤎

She's great. Her talent is amazing. I love when they talk about artist development and experience. I loved buying cd's. The joy of reading the cd book, looking at the art, etc. I'm 35 but it was a different experience in the 90s. I miss buying magazines, listening to radio and TV interviews, and countdowns for videos.
I know everyone has to get a chance to shine with some lesser known names and even non singers but I like the shows with the big names more. Shanice is definitely an interview I'd like to see on this platform.
I absolutely love Shanice. She was just a kid, and she inspired me as an adult. My first solo cd was mixed and mastered at NFS. It was masterfully done. Tank is the man, and I love this broadcast.❤
Shanice is one of my favorite artists. My favorite song of hers is "Yesterday." This song showcases her vocals, range, and ability to emote through singing.
One of my favorite episode. she is so under rated. I love how her family traveled with her. There covering helped mold her into the Beautiful Woman she is today with an Amazing Voice!
One person called my Smiley in high school and fast forward people ask me why am I walking around at work with so much joy. The answer flew out of me MY JOY ISN'T MANUFACTURED
I was working as an EA for an accounting firm. I was taken around to introduce myself to staff members. I met one woman and I extended my hand and said, hello so pleased to me you. That woman looked me up and down, would not take my hand and she cleared he throat. I turned around and went on my way. A bit of back story both of us are African-Americans. We are working in the C-suite a very certain kind of space. Said woman had done some thing that could have gotten her fired. I told one of our mutual workmates and asked her not to tell her it came from me. Much later she was at a work event with me and we sat together. I asked her why she was so rude to me initially. She said you have pretty teeth, and you are always smiling and so friendly like you are always happy.😅😅😅 if she only knew my whole world was falling apart.
I love Shanice and Silent Prayer is one of my all time favorite songs! I'm so incredibly glad to see her on the show and for her to get all the flowers echoed in the comments!
I remember their show. I loved watching them. I love that she’s getting her flowers, and we’re learning so much more behind the scenes of this precious gem ❤.
I watched their reality series Flex and Shanice, this really shows The human side I am friends with a celebrity who a male singer very popular heartthrob from the late 1980s 1990s has been in movies, date of some of the most beautiful women in Hollywood and just knowing his story really showed me that stars are human as well.
I Love Shanice! I was smiling THE WHOLE time lol. I Love her and Flex together as a couple. I miss seeing them on Instagram when Flex is the DJ and Shanice is the background dancer. That is so funny to me. She is supporting her man. They support each other and I LOVE it! Shout out to Pork Chop in Baltimore. I was listening to the radio one morning and he mentioned how GOOD Shanice's new CD is. I went out and brought it and have loved that CD ever since. This CD has the song "Yesterday" on it. You WILL NOT skip a song on that one. ☺️
Shanice’s classmates used to make fun of her smile, and she ended up smiling all the way up the charts and into the bank with a classic hit.😂 Joke’s on them.
Shanice is the template for a lot of your faves careers. She’s a humble legend.
Yo man, how Tank has a smile on his face while saying he has lost 2 houses and multiple cars is top tier. I probably would have started crying just talking about it 😂
I love that her grandma was her road manager and she was protected. ❤

Yes these likes and views should be thru the roof
Tank and that growl during the Top 5 takes me out everytime 😂😂😂
I miss reading the credits from albums also especially when they included lyrics.

People nowadays don’t understand how important that part of the artist existence is…
And cassette tapes too 😢
@bridgettejohnson9085 I still have my cassette tapes
Some people you can just tell they are naturally a sweet person & she is one of them. 😁

Tamia, Shanice, and someone else should form their own TGT.
Deborah Cox!!!! Tamia, Shanice and Deborah would kill it as a group.
I'd say Chante Moore
Yeah between chante Moore and Deborah cox
Shanice and Tank ,Shanice and Debra Cox, Ginuwine, I would love for her to do a duet with all of them and Chanta Moore
