Tank, is an R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer. He began his career as a backing vocalist for R&B singers Aaliyah and Ginuwine, and signed a recording contract with the former's record label, Blackground Records as a performing act in 1998. His 2001 single, "Maybe I Deserve" peaked within the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 and led his debut studio album, Force of Nature.
Tank and his manager, J. Valentine, are the hosts of their own streaming podcast, R&B Money Podcast, where they interview popular R&B recording artists, songwriters, producers, and other legends of the genre, discussing industry topics with R&B music at its center.
This Tank interview sent shockwaves through the industry as The Breakfast Club, The Shade Room, The Neighborhood Talk, and many blog sites and news outlets reported Tanks statements regarding homophobia in the Black community.

Tank is one of my fav artists always cool learning more about him. I didn't know he had a brother or knew Spanish. The way I cackled at him giving his two weeks and said naaahhh never coming back LOL..That's right practice BEFORE the practice..Tank is truly a gifted man like he said producer, writer, singer, instrumentalist..I love his brotherhood with Jamie..being around G and LiLi what an amazing start..I can see Ty sitting back and laughing at his viral moments..Tank absolutely deserves his flowers!

When we stop thinking that gay has a “look” then we’d stop thinking that you can’t be approached by a gay person. SOME people can be looked at and one would think, “oh he gay.” But some gay men don’t fit that stereotypical look. So the only way to know is to “hit” on you and ask. I hope men can stop taking these gestures personally as if something is wrong with them because a gay man approached you. It’s no different that a man approaching a woman who may or may not be in a relationship yet. He won’t know until he asks the girl. Black men please relax lol.
