Hi John! I am a massage therapist, and a rock climber. I also lift weights. So, I use my hands a lot! I deal with chronically tight forearms, and severe forearm pump when climbing. I currently am unable to do any sport climbing, and have to stick with bouldering due to this pump feeling. Which is pretty lame. I am going to try this taping, but am curious of when I should wear the tape? Or how long? While I climb, and lift? To bed? What causes this flexor compartment syndrome? Thanks, and hope to hear from you.
Hi, thanks for the message, I to am a Rock Climber (well use to be....) I would try the technique and leave on for a few days to see if it helps. I am sure you are a great climber but when i use to climb I to would have muscle pump but i would rely on strength rather than technique, hence the issue - cause and effect.....I would google 'flexor compartment syndrome' as its easier to see the causes with explanations and pictures....good luck, JG
John, is this an injury that could be sustained thru playing tennis. I am sure this is the injury I currently have as there is no pain in my " elbow" as is the norm for tennis elbow. I have changed my forehand a little in the last few weeks... Thank you.
Simon Moses Hi, it is not a common tennis injury but if you play tennis and you get the pain then maybe for you the sport is exacerbating your issue. Try the taping technique and see if that helps. Good Luck!!
My daughter used this for a tennis injury from overuse taking balls out of the air when drilling. It was very helpful.
+Cindy Persky Glad the tape helped your daughters elbow pain and thanks for the comments.
I am going to try this. I have a work related injury and it is in both arms.
Would this be a good technique to wear during a dirt bike enduro race to help stop arm pump?
