Merrill will not slump in September cuz he thrives in those high pressure situations. He’s all about winning. He acts like he has done this before. Not like other rookies. I will also say Profar beat his own homerun career record with 21. Higgy has also broke his hr record. Keep up the good vibes Javi.
It's not really debatable anymore--he's ROTY. He plays every game and has from the get-go and is clutch AF, a top fielder, a top hitter, etc, etc. Eff off Skenes!
Question for next mailbag - To what extent have Machado and Bogaerts bounced back from their slow starts to the season? How have their turnarounds contributed to the Padres recent success?
I would rather them try to get Profar 1 year for 5-10 mill and just keep doing that if possible. I love the dude but hes 31 .. hes going to go back downhill sooner than later
