      For sure - As a Brewers fan, the big market Yankees are definitely not up there on my favorite list of teams. However, I love baseball and its history, and Judge is incredible. I can appreciate what he does on and off the field. Thanks for watching! Means a lot!

      I'm always struck by the term "small market" when it is attached to a city with a population of over half a million people. Milwaukee has a higher population than Atlanta and Miami.
      If you ask me, the term "small market" is an excuse dreamed up by owners who don't like to spend money to make money.

    • @DugoutChronicles
      @DugoutChronicles  5 месяцев назад +2

      Oh don't get me wrong, I think most owners can spend more but most tend to run it for a profit and say they want to win (not all). Milwaukee is a great baseball town and consistently great on attendance, but the New York market is on a whole other level! Thanks for watching terguson! Appreciate you.

    As dysfunctional as the Yankees have been the past ten years (Woe is me, I know), watching a generational talent play for my team is such a joy. The last two baseballs games I've went to were the last two grand slams he hit. As soon as he got to the bat with the bases loaded, the whole stadium knew what was about to happen. I've never seen a player whose presence in the batter box could shut up 42,000 drunk New Yorkers.

    Well I’m from New York I live 3 hours from Yankee Stadium I’ve seen judge play live plenty of times at Yankee stadium and you forgot to mention one of the main reasons judge’s swing is where it is today! You mention how he struggled in the beginning of his career but then you made this part up where he analyzed every at bat in the offseason to redeem himself! What really happened that changed Judge’s career was his team of people like his agent had connections that brought him to meet a guy named Richard Schenck! This guy Richard helped change judges swing and his whole outlook on hitting and Judge said in an interview that after he did the techniques that Richard had shown him Judge said he never felt the ball explode off his bat like that before using Richard’s technique and the rest is history!
    Idk how you left that part out lol smh 🤦🏼‍♂️

    I can tell you one thing, if I ever go to a game where Aaron Judge is playing I'll have to make sure I don't sit to the side around the dugouts because I just don't think I could enjoy the game as much watching his swing from the side. That awkward and stiff leg kick is horrible and distracting.
    It still amazes and to be honest pisses me off the preferential treatment MLB shows the Yankees. I get it that he is big enough and strong enough to hit home runs out of any park but you can't possibly make the argument those short porches in Yankee Stadium don't pad the numbers. It irritates me because of the fact that there had been more than a few teams in the few decades before the new Yankee Stadium was built who were building their own new park and asked the league's front office for permission to skirt the minimum distances allowed to the fences rule and each and every one of them was denied. Yet when the Yankees come calling asking for permission, what do you know they were told yes. Despite the fact that unlike those others who were planning on not only not having as close of fences as Yankee stadium turned up with, but also planned on having a taller fence to compensate and yet the answer was still no! The Yankees on the other hand wanted not only short distances but also with a regular wall height.
    Stuff like that really irritate me, where there is a double standard. Like how after the overboard PC Police got their rocks off bullying the Indians into changing their name they missed that feeling of feeling important so they moved their sights to the Atlanta Braves of all teams. Bitching about their name as offensive, which by the way it offends me when people are to stupid to know what words mean. They whine about that yet I havent heard one solitary peep about the Yankees which is a much more racially specific word than Braves. The definition of the word 'Braves' in fact doesn't mention Native Americans or any other specific race at all. I always point out that I guess our National Anthem must be offensive and needs to be changed also huh? "...and the home of the BRAVE". Veering off topic here a little but damn it gets irritating. The only people in that scenario being racist isn't the Braves or their fans it's the people calling for it's change. The local Native American tribes have already gone on record that they don't have a problem with it and why would they? They are smart enough to know the meaning of words. So these people of other races are the only ones being offensive as they are saying "Aww these poor uncivilized and ignorant people don't know enough to know when they should be offended so we will tell them when they should be". Saying 'Braves' in offensive is like saying team names like the Warriors or Titans is offensive. The double standard is clearly visible in the fact Indians was deemed racist but there has never been one word said about the Minnesota Vikings. Which by the way is an exact parallel both are terms for a certain race of people from a certain place. But unlike the Indians who had long since removed all imagery the Vikings still sport the stereotypical caricature of a supposed Viking, even down to the silly metal and fur hat with horns. Hell a guy dressed up like one rides a Harley out on the field before each game yet no one has any issue because Vikings happen to have light skin and in todays world that is apparently the only skin color people are fine with racism toward.

    I immediately lost interest when you went back to his birth. This is such a boring and tired trope. Please try to be original or at least put some effort into creating these player pieces. I don’t care when he was born. I don’t need to know about his high school I’m not interested in what he did in college. If you’re gonna come up with a premise, stop filling it with junk. This is the same kind of thing everyone else does they take all the way back to the beginning, so you fully understand the person and spend the last 30 seconds answering the question in the title. Boring! Do better!

    Even without taking the cheating into consideration, Judge was robbed of MVP in 2017. He was objectively better than Altuve and since he led a team with no business competing into the playoffs, was more valuable than Altuve who was on a loaded roster that makes the playoffs with a league average second baseman in place of Altuve.
