The irony is there are infinite universes and thus infinite chances for Mark’s to be good as well as evil. Langstrom only ever visited one’s where Mark is bad except for ironically the one he is from. He’s just petty.
in the comics he said most of Mark he ran into is not good or sided with omni-man from the getgo. not sure that's just how it goes there, or he just hadn't met all of them.
@@zumabbar The comics never actually fully explore the whole multiverse theory stuff. Theoretically it would be impossible for Langstrum to explore every universe or even just enough to develop a ratio of good Marks to bad ones. Not that Langstrum cares about that.

The majority of Invincibles that Angstrom has seen or heard of are evil in some capacity, his assumption is not unreasonable.
Okay but can we give props to humanity in that universe for defeating Omniman and Mark? Sacrificing all of Europe but in the end defeating the greatest threat to humanity is pretty tragic/inspiring.
I mean, that is until the other Viltrumites arrive.
Unfortunately, Viltrumite policy is that if they can kill even a single Viltrumite, the whole planet gets wiped from the universe. They have a few months at best to live.

I think a big reason that “Our” Mark isn’t evil is because he got his powers much later than his alternates. Think about it, if he got his powers young then that would give Omni man more time to train and convert him to evil.
theoretically sure, but (in our universe anyway) nolan's turning point for enacting his mission was mark developing powers, because that proved that earth was suitable for breeding new viltrumites, if our mark had developed powers sooner it wouldn't've meant more time to train and convert him it just would've meant everything happened sooner which would've had some varied results, most importantly the Teen Team most likely would not have become the new Guardians and Black Samson might've still had his powers (i'm not quite sure when he lost them) so, maybe Samson would've turned the tide and caused nolan to lose to the original guardians, maybe they would've handled the flaxans better or worse (though with nolan around i guess it wouldn't matter)
in other universes, nolan probably just decided to wait another year or so before going evil in order to better prepare mark
I agree with you this might be a stretch but it seems like omni man didn't embrace the human aspect of life until he was at marks little league game, if mark got his powers sooner, Nolan would still have been in the Viltrimite way, and he would never of gotten past seeing this place as a mission.
It could also have to do with the influence of his mom. There were points in season 1 where he got power hungry and arrogant, and it was usually his mom who talked him down/advocated for his humanity.

Humans killing a Viltrimite conquistador is like a bunch of cavemen somehow taking out a modern 21st century main battle tank.
That battle tank will run out of ammo and fuel eventually...
and if its only one encounter sure, but If I saw a thousand separate tribes fighting a thousand separate tanks I'd bet in at least one case the tank would just have a malfunction of some kind.
The literal equivalent here would be millions of cavemen with sticks and rocks vs TWO 21st century tanks, but somehow they managed to completely destroy the more powerful one with experimental quantum trebuchets and captured the smaller one for study once it ran out of gas/bullets, all while only sacrificing 440 tribes of roughly 350-500 people each. Which is still a fuckload, but out of millions it isn't much.

Because current Mark isn’t evil, meaning that the entire world isn’t willing to use weapons that can wipe out a continent in order to deal with him and Omniman.
Ironically, evil Marks are easier to deal with because it’s easier to convince people to band together to fight them. Good Marks have allies of their own, and even people like Cecil would rather have Mark on their side

He didn’t do it because of the explosion he literally said he killed “billions” hinting that his memories is scrambled with all the other dimensions. Where mark indeed kill a lot of people, not to mention he has brain damage. The reason they opened with him in ep 1 was to show where is hatred and anger comes from. The show did it far better than the comics. I actually like the improvements on his obsession
