I love those wide gap hooks! Another really good hook I've come upon is the owner mosquito hook. Holy cow they are sharp! They manage to hook into the biggest sucker (me) in the boat nearly every trip. Lol
Try the Gamakatsu drop shot hooks on a couple of setups. It’s a fine wire hook that is similar to the wide gap, with even a better hookup to landing ratio. Also, take a kokanne or two with you on your next deep water halibut/lingcod trip! 🤫

I've always done really well for trout in little American this time of the year.
Never been over there.

I'll check them out. Thanks for watching.
At 5:20 you do a one legged tiller adjustment! Rocking boat, hands fighting a fish. At our ages that a true athletic feat, my man!
My back must be feeling better. 😆 thanks, and thanks for watching.
Mean Gene the fish hooking machine..... Way to go !!

I bet Kokes work great on Halibut. I used to use Trout.
@@Northwestfishingfanatics Yes they do!
Lol if there's a way to get tangled I'm going to find it.... We all have found it my friend.
Right!
Never knew there was Kokanee in that lake
They are finicky.
Where did you get your boat seats?
The seats came with the boat but I removed the passenger side from the fixed box to make more room and put it on top of a seat base I found on Amazon.
i have a question about how to find fish and what to use
What's the question?
