We are so much alike. The cast isn't complete until the lure is out of the water. The hunting and fishing trip isn't over until you are in the truck driving home and even then you are thinking of the next trip. Ft. Lewis is a wonderland for outdoors folk. I fished all over while stationed there from 86-91.
Gene love your videos i love eating perch we have a good lake near us here in Kitsap county that yields some nice size fish. keep them coming I look forward to Saturdays
You would be a fun person to become friends with. On so many occasions I find myself thinking about how awesome it would be to live this lifestyle in our area! I appreciate your perspective and post Gene
@@kingchaser-c4t Once you're up on plane the deep V doesn't make that much of a difference with a jet so, I would say it should be fine as long as you don't shoot skinny water or perhaps flows under 3500cfs. And as long you can read water well enough to avoid gravel bars and shallows.

Dig’n the upgrade Gene… Looks like the motor was a great add-on. Have you ever tried Cascade in Idaho..,? Jumbo perch through the ice. Thanks for another fun adventure. Tight lines….

I don't mean any disrespect - cause I really admire you, but why no inflatable life jacket? You're by yourself. BTW - my wife lets me go whenever I want whereever I want, with the caveat that I come home in one. piece.
Another great fishing production!
@@dean3471 thank you

@@williamgorsline2965 well thanks for that. Appreciate it.
How would a 16' lund deep v with 20" transom jet pump work on the cowlitz?

What kind of boat would you recommend for for the rivers?

Not enough top speed. 15' Alaskan with 25 hp pump (35 hp with prop) isn't great. You get to see the scenery in detail going upstream.😢
Thanks team North West FF🆒💪

@jasonbasonbobason Yes. Top, under the Big Jon plate, and the sides. Red locktite on the screws.
