Part of the reason I watch your channel is the stories. Please don’t change!

I enjoy the stories like so many others do. As far as getting older but still having a mind that's much younger (I'm 69 and in great shape for age), One of my favorite quotes taken from the Red Green Show ............ "Never let your mind write a check your body isn't prepared to cash!". Tight lines .......

Gene, i happen to enjoy the talking. It truly takes me back to my childhood fishing with what i called the old timers. I could listen to their stories all day.

I use to fish alone alot when I was younger, but now I'm 53 and I hate fishing alone. I'm surprised you always fish alone. Kudos to you.

That was a great video. And I don't care what other people say I like to listen to you talking about all of your adventures. And I have been called an old and it's Ok with me because I'm 59 almost 60. Age doesn't mean you don't know what you are doing just because you are slower. It just mean's you are just in joying life at a different speed then ever body else.

Warning ⚠️ Old timer story: Yup the Wooly Bugger is king. My only time to Canada years ago we were at a very remote lake and even though the regs said no bait everyone was using pop gear and night crawlers. It was to easy, I would have limited in 30 minutes, so I tried the fly rod I had with a black wooly bugger straight line behind the boat. I caught more and bigger fish than the guys on bait. I completely wore that fly out to threads, when I went to replace it a t the local trading post all they had was olive green, same results. I put one on behind my wife’s pop gear , again, same results. The night before I left for home another guy at the lodge came by to ask what I’d been using, he noticed we were netting so nice fish. I showed him and offered to give them to him but he declined. A few weeks later at work I ran into him and asked if he tried the woolly buggers , he said no and didn’t believe me and acted mad I wouldn’t tell him what I used. I’ve used them since then at Shift Reservoir with good results.

Love your videos. Hopefully, you don't take offense, but it reminds me of fishing with my grandfather. Calm and peaceful, and I learn something new every time. I also really appreciate the fact you aren't like these other fishing channels in this state that keep everything secret, like they should be the only ones to enjoy this great state. I can appreciate the fact that people keep some secrets, but you have got to try and impart some knowledge into younger fisherman, to help keep them interested and excited about it. Thank you for your videos. and for being the way you are. Much respect.

This is the kind of fishing I do.
Little boat, smallish lake, light gear .
Troll then take some time working lilly pads then troll some more
I love it when the fish pull my kayak around.
I too enjoy your talking....... Don't stop!
56 here old guys rock ( Still kayaking. snowshoeing and riding motorcycles )
