    If loving Tactical Bassin is wrong…. I don’t wanna be right! Other than being on the water, nothing has upped my bass fishing game over the years than Matt and Tim! A truly amazing resource! I’ve gone fishing in different states and out fished locals in tournament situations solely on the advice and techniques learned on this channel! There’s simply none better! Cheers guys, looking forward to tomorrow’s video 🏄🏼‍♂️🎣🤙🏻

    Another impressive feature about the Tactical Wake, that they didn't mention, is the packaging!! I thought I was opening up packaging for a gold bar from Fort Knox!!!

    I’ve got the SLX 7’ 3” Heavy. It’s great for pond fishing where a longer rod is too unwieldy. Paired it with a Daiwa Tatula 200 and it’s a great combo. Can’t beat it for $99. Use it for Black Dog G2 Shellcracker (shhh!), Gantarel, S Waiver. Good intro to swimbait fishing without breaking the bank. Although I’m gonna do exactly that after today’s video! Baitsanity Gill and The Tactical Wake in my cart (so far). Merry Xmas to me 😅

    I’d love to hear more about soft plastic glide baits such as the Raid Japan osikana slide /nessie/ flag/ I think Megabass has one too not sure if it’s available in the USA. I hated the Nessie until I boiled the crap out of it and literally pounded it with a hammer while hot to soften it up and add weights, but afterwards I was left with a incredible swimming soft glide, and the osakana slide , I’ve just been starting to throw to get the retrieves/ sink rates/ dialing in weights to add and gear to throw it on.. there’s a lot of videos comparing one to another, but none really showing you fine tuning of each. If you have that experience could you please share with the rest of us? Thanks guys! Thanks for all the hard work you’re putting in!

      @SendItVibes Месяц назад

      The Nessie is one of my favorite baits. I use a 7ft medium-light rod with a 5.6:1 reel. Never had to boil any of mine, just used a razor to carve a little more out of the slant on the front half of the fold on the body. I have one set up for top water and another for gliding on the bottom. Added two 1/32 weights in front of the factory plastic inserts on the bottom and it sinks at 1 foot every 3 seconds. For whatever reason, the fish in my local lake love that drop speed and often hammer it before it ever hits the bottom. Just twitch the rod tip a few times as it falls without reeling and WHAMMY! Now that I am typing this, I think I might actually get more bites on the fall than the glide.

    I mentioned the Valkrye travel rod a few yrs ago when Matt did a video talking about the Gamakatsu travel rod. I pair it with my Conquest 200dc or my tranx 300. I use it for freshwater, big Jersey stripers etc. Throws swimbaits from 1.5ounce to 4ounce baits like a dream.

    Hey guys, im a huge fan an an avid amateur bank fisher. I loved your rod and reel buyers guide and deep dive cause it gave me a TON of insight that websites don't mention. I had an idea for something I'd love to see. Can you possibly try to do a budget series? Like "1000 dollar budget on rods and reels, what would we buy:" kinda thing. Or 5k budget, or 500$ budget. Just something where a college kid who had a big birthday money gift or christmas gift or work bonus would have an idea of the go tos on where to go for good stuff. Thanks!

    • @ScuffedEngineer
      @ScuffedEngineer Месяц назад

      They had them when the rods were on sale, though shortened to $100,$200,$400 and unlimited.

    • @jacobbuffington07
      @jacobbuffington07 Месяц назад

      @ScuffedEngineer yeah I just meant more like a budget to get a full setup with only that particular amount. Like 1000$ you gotta build a full setup of multiple things with only that much. Not just one rod reel combo. So I guess more of a game for them like rod reel line spinning and casting, got multiple medium heavy or mediums, and heavy etc. What would they spend the most focus on to get expensive vs what they'd not care as much about on price if they had to put a cap. I'd just be curious to see what they'd spend more on In comparison to other gear if they had to put a true cap like most people in building up their gear.

    Pro tip! If a bait "feels" to big... just pretend to lip the bait like you would a dink you caught, or next time you catch a dink, put it next to your biggest bait. It really helps your brain with perspective, lol.

      @andybales7318 Месяц назад +1

      The smaller 120's action isn't real great...the bigger glides have better action & more drawing power....unless u have alot of 1-2 lb'ers, the 168 is a far better bait..even the 200 will catch 2 lb bass & much better action

      Kind of off topic for this video but I just heard about "acid wrap" spiral guides ... What r your guys thoughts? Have you ever used one? I thought it was bogus until I set my casting rod on the ground and pulled on the lure, my rod will roll... Do spiral guides prevent that? Does it help with casting friction?

    • @alexholodnick7662
      @alexholodnick7662 Месяц назад +2

      @@andrewsales5417I believe the only intended purpose of spiral guides is to reduce the line contacting the blank. Does it make huge difference…probably not

    • @ScuffedEngineer
      @ScuffedEngineer Месяц назад +2

      @@andrewsales5417 They have a few of them, it's not enough to drop NRX blanks though. You get reduced line contact as said previously, it slight helps with torque/rolling, but what will make an even bigger difference for that is a rod properly built on the spine. You may get 1 or 2 less guides to shave some grams off the rod making it lighter.

    I have some zoom trick worm's I'm coloring up. Do y'all want to see them. How can I show them to y'all to y'all and get a hold of y'all. Ever since my mother got cancer I need something to do times after I take care of her when I have time. I'm very thankful that she is get better and hope she beats it. It's in her lower to mid organ's. Started in her ovaries. I'm trying to start up my own company getting different thing's out there so people can fish and catch fish rather different color's or different lures is my idea. I'm just wondering if y'all will like some soft plastic worm's as of now. I'm going cheap because I can't see spending a dollar per worm I'm just wondering if y'all might be interested in new color's? I'm selling them 20 in a bag for $10.00 instead of $20.00 and I know I could sell them for that because of some of the color's. I do have some less pricey color's too. Thoses would normally go $8.00 apiece so will be selling them for $6.00. I might throw some in for free depends how good I do. I just want to make fishing more enjoyable and more affordable. Just let me know.
