Older video but thanks for sharing sir. Hope you stopped at the hot springs after leaving Fields. When I saw you out in the desert with Hart Mt in the background it reminded me of my own summer this year. The folks who own the store there in Fields are super nice. @OverlandScout81 lol, I said "vacation", but I meant "honeymoon". But "vacation" is appropriate too, as we've done many road trips out there. You should try looking for Oregon trail ruts and swales. Drones come in handy. Thanks for the content. Have a good day!

Hey Bud - I really enjoy watching your posts! Your drone shots are incredible, and I can appreciate the time and effort it must take to get good photos too! Good on you for putting in the time. I moved to Central Oregon 3 years ago, and have barely touched the outback here. Do a bunch of dual sport motorcycle riding out here with friends in the know. We've done sections of the Oregon Backcountry Discovery (ODBR) routes 4 & 5. I know it can be tough at times to manage a group (like herding cats - LOL!!!), but if you ever put together a overlanding trip in the future, my wife and I would be interested in tagging along. We have a 2011 Jeep Rubicon outfitted for overlanding, and we just did hole in the ground this past weekend. I try to split my Adventure riding and overlanding time as my wife does not ride motorcycles. Anyway, would be happy to meet up with you someday. BTW, we also like that you have a rescue dog too. Scout sure has a bundle of energy! Our two dogs are rescues as well..... Bravo Zulu & Cheers Brother!
Hi Michael! Really appreciate the compliments! I absolutely love central/eastern Oregon. I used to ride dual sports too but now just Jeeping. I just lead a trip for the Salem Jeepers club this past weekend and it was incredibly fun. We had 9 rigs and did over 175 miles and covered a wide range of terrain. There will definitely be more of those trips in the future. If you’re on FB checkout the Salem Jeepers club and you’ll see me on there. I’m working on the video for that trip too so stay tuned for that!

Hi Mick! Man, I really appreciate it. I picked up making videos as a hobby a few years back and really enjoy the engagement it's bringing with Overlanding. There's a ton more coming this summer!
Hey there! Awesome video, amazing location! I’m down in So. Oregon, Any tips/coordinates on how I could go about finding this location, or others like it?
I used to ride dual sports for years, and you'll have a great time if you find this place. You'll need to cross a ton of miles over pretty flat dusty roads to get here but it makes the reward that much better. It's all the way in Eastern Oregon.
Thanks Origen! We’re headed out again this weekend and looking forward to it. Just got back from a trip to Utah too so will have two more videos coming out soon. I generally just find a spot that’s level and don’t mess with leveling blocks. Occasionally I use my maxtrax or rocks.
It was so funny to arrive in the most difficult to get to places in my Subaru AWD. I would find all sorts of extreme "off road" vehicles being driven by dreamers. For them to see my Subaru was being driven by a woman just added salt to the wound. :) :) :)
Google satellite view shows an old camper trailer or bus about 500 yards uphill from your last camping/swimming spot. Did you walk over to check it out?

Hi Charlie, I'm not familiar where the 5 bar ranch is but the oasis is on the Owyhee River. It was a long way to get there over flat and extremely dusty roads that were for the most part unspectacular. We did a map recon of the river and marked multiple locations that we thought would lead down to the river and most of them were a bust.
