Oh I’ve always played super strats but not that much live. My over 20 year old Warmoth super strat is on many albums I’ve done and for example I did most Cyhra’s No Halos In Hell rhythm guitars with ESP Horizon etc. Live I’ve mostly used LPs ’cos I’ve never been that comfortable with Strats’ straight neck angle but these ESP neck throughs have a similar neck angle than LPs so I’m very comfortable playing with these on stage too 👌. My old Tokai Tele is on most albums I’ve done and also my ESP Camo V and so on 😎.

Very nice, I like vintage guitars over the new ones. I’m not going to lie but I’m digging that leopard ESP he has for sale. Whenever my Dean Dime Slime is done I may have sell it and buy the leopard.

I bought a new Jackson soloist SL3X a few years ago for $560 and then upgraded about everything even all the electronics and wiring, besides SS frets and want to put a 1000 baseplate and an original trem arm on it.I got quite a bit from FU Tone and a few other places. I put about $800 to $900 in parts on it so far. Did all the work myself. You can feel it all through the guitar like you said you can yours. I feel I have a decent guitar for a less price for me anyway.
What string gauges do you use with the drop tuna and in which tuning? I’ve been looking to get one so I’m wondering what would be a good compromise. I usually use a 50 set with 24,75” scale lenght in std tuning.
My only neck through construction guitar is an '87 Eclipse NT in pearl white. It definitely rings out along the entire neck, as opposed to the majority of the sound coming from the body end. I've noticed this makes me play that guitar in a way I don't with any of the others. Variety is the spice of life, and having guitars made with different materials that are constructed in different ways, inspires me to play them in unique ways. This negative talk about electric guitars all sounding the same, and materials and pickups making no discernable tonal differences. Is complete and utter nonsense. It ALL makes a difference, and only you can determine what's more important. Everyone is searching for something different. Why does everyone try'n shit on the next guys parade? I enjoy nothing more than getting a new guitar and modifying and upgrading it to make it my own. I never worry about what somebody else thinks? I listen to my gut, and learn from trial and error.
Great find! Love that top too; beautiful! I’ve always been partial to the simplicity of one-pickup guitars. From my Les Paul Juniors to my parts-casters (A’ la Van Halen style). No nonsense rock machines.
Does the "Lawsuit" refer to the similarity of Jackson and 80's ESP headstocks? Regardless, these headstocks look aggressive and elegant at the same time...nice axe!!
Great playing, this really reminds me of something close to an early buckethead style , when he was more closer to metal and less experimental. As always great video.

That sucks but Jackson SL1 is about the perfect guitar. I have one from 2012. Will never get rid of it and it looks KILLER hanging on the wall.

Seems you solved the nut height issue, but nevertheless, check out the new height adjustable locking nut from the guys at Hartung!
