Half an Hour at (107) - Irlam Station 27.4.2015 - Salford Manchester Cadishead

This station was a bit of a surprise. Although I was born and brought up just 7 miles from here, I had never been to this station. Whilst the main station is a tidy unmanned halt, the original station buildings have been impressively renovated. Today they trade as a pub but there are many interesting features of railway memorabilia on the platform including old signs, porters trolleys and milk churns. Whilst at the station there were Northern, First TransPennine and East Midlands DMUs passing and calling.
