I was at Ohio university, a year ahead of Logan. Saw him make a vine once in the dining halls. I can say with confidence that everyone hated him

@@alexwirt2065 ah that’s a great story. I wasn’t really a fest person, but I believe it! He was also booed after making the vine I mentioned. He and Jake stood up and yelled something right in the middle of busy hour in Nelson, and everyone went quiet. Then the booing started, rightfully so!

@@MM-vv8ce thank you for the heads up, but Nick has he/they listed as pronouns on twitter. Also in the coming out video, Nick stated no preference but even said he pronouns were fine.
31:10 what makes that whole situation even weirder is that this was a plot to one of the episodes of bizaardvark (the show he was on). The whole episode was about two of the characters starting fake drama for views without discussing it with the other content creator, and how that went wrong. So either Disney copied Jake Paul, or Jake Paul copied Disney, and I’m not sure which is weirder.

My boyfriend went to Ohio University at the same time as Logan, and from the stories I’ve heard, Logan was obnoxious & offensive, which might be part of the reason he wasn’t liked beyond just that he was taking vine seriously.
I have been waiting for this one. I am still frustrated with the lack of justice for Alissa Violet. She essentially claimed Jake Paul ran a “casting couch” operation and crickets.

@@arthurlinewesseh5746 the casting couch is a situation known to happen in Hollywood. Producers would use the power imbalance they have with aspiring young performers to sexually abuse them. What she implied was that Jake would tell IG models they needed “new team 10” members, then he would sleep with them. There were no opportunities in reality, he used that desire against them.
@@mariella2884 I mean that's not really a bad thing to do. Jake was 19/20 during that and wasn't like he was forcing the girls to have sex with him. How is that any different from girls having sex for money or sending nudes for money ?
@@lastnamefirstname4678 I guess there is a level of power imbalance and manipulation that I’m not personally comfortable with. But I have never felt the need to manipulate others for sex so.
The difference as well is in the situation you describe, both parties are aware of the deal. Those models didn’t go (can’t say all of them didn’t) to have sexual relations. They went for their careers, to the then be put in a situation that is sexual by the person who has that control over their prospects. All while there actually being no opportunity. Might not be illegal, but it’s scummy and shouldn’t be seen as a positive way to treat others. Be well dude
@@mariella2884 First of all alissa never said Jake promised them a career or something. The fact Jake hasn't really been exposed for that by any girl in 4 years kinda points to it not being true.
Also Jake would routinely host Instagram models at his house. They would take pics at his house for their Insta and stuff like that so that could be a fair transfer.

I remember being in middle school when this drama was happening and like my whole sixth-grade class being split into jake or logan fans. Even if you didn't care about them you still somehow picked between them, it was so wild.
Not a fan of either one of them but damn they have always managed to stay slightly ahead of the curve business wise. They always seem one step ahead, very good businessmen.

I've discovered Nick a few years ago, when I got into film commentaries - he made such funny and accurate comments on various older teen or low budget and low rating films, or something similar in concept, and I was immediately hooked too 😂 His humor and his charisma, as well as his educational background in film, made it all very interesting to watch and listen to his point of view, so I get you 😂💜
If it's of any relevance, I say the same thing about you - I got into your videos when I got into RUclips drama commentaries. Your perspective on different things and situations, your mentality and humanity, as well as your background in social work, made it all very interesting to watch too.

ok but logan was so disrespectful through out the whole trip in japan. i am japanese and live here and i dont think he was the only factor, but because he behaved so badly no tourist including citizens could go and see the fish market and how it works anymore. like he was awful and i wish ppl would also hold him accountable for all the behavior he had in japan not just what happened in the forest

I love your "internet history" videos because they are always fun, interesting and informative. You clearly put so much time and effort into them and I just love settling in with a snack and watching the story unfold about people who are all new to me. I really wasn't into RUclips for many years so this stuff is really fascinating. Thank you for all the work you put into them and when you feel like making more, please keep 'em coming. :)
(i haven't watched the entire video yet so idk if this has been mentioned) but one thing that i find super interesting is how jenna marbles once said on one her podcast episodes that logan reached out to her about if he should stay in school or quit for vine/youtube. she told him that he should stay in school because you never know what could happen with your social media career. i think one thing about jenna is that she always recommended that to people who asked her advice. she had a masters degree in sports psychology and would say how if all else fails she has that to fall back on if need be.
