Thanks for posting the wonderful scotch eggs. Believe it or not Scotch Eggs are very popular dish in Japan. I remember my mom made them on a special occasions, we used a mixture of ground beef and pork but no crust, and we split in half and ate them with a mixture of ketsup and worstershire sauce. They were so good and to this day I make them in the USA for my family. YUM!!!
I dont know why, but I return to this video every once in a while. I simply love the moment you bite into piping hot scotch egg and say "that is gorgeous". Take care.
My family goes to a Celtic festival every September at Olcott beach on Lake Ontario. (USA) They serve them there with a horseradish sauce! It's soooo good, I can't get enough of them!
@Nevizations Hi there Nevizations, thank you for trying my recipes out and I am really glad that you enjoyed it. Spicy Italian sausage sounds good to me. I appreciate all your comments and hope to hear from you again soon. OriginalNakedChef
@GBmania213 Hi there, Thanks for taking the time to drop in and leave the comms, always appreciated :) The scotch eggs are definatly worth trying out. If you make a couple ectra they are nice the next day, hot or cold. Thanks for trying the recipes and good luck! OriginalNakedChef

I tried to make this from scratch and with the runny yolk. Its all about the timing and technique since the egg is twice cooked. Managed to get two runny yolks and two a little too cooked yolks. But since its not masterchef and we just eating at home, who cares. It was great.
One great recipe! Thanks. We have been making them for 30 years. We usually serve them, sliced into thirds or quarter wedges, topping each with a dollop of mayonnaise and a small spoonful of caviar.
@phatnoir1986 Hi there, I am glad it all worked out for you. I agree they are delicious and filling. Once cooled down keep them in the fridge and you can have them a day or 2 later. Thanks for watching and letting us know how you got on. OriginalNakedChef
These are awesome! I've never heard of these before until I look up "egg recipes" on youtube and found this video. Im going to put these in our bento lunch boxes.
I couldn't have said it better! It's almost midnight and I am heading out to the store to get the ingredients! WOW! I can't believe that these never made it into a major restaurant chain! Yum! :-D
wonderful things, have been making them since I was living in England. Only one suggestion...don't re heat in a microwave unless you cut them first lol
a tip from my mum is to pass your beaten eggwash through a seieve..... all those little snotty bits stay in the seive and leave your eggwash a little more velvety not essential, and a bit snobby, but hey
@VertigaDesignMEDIA Thats my favourite bit too! I am usually pretty hungry by that point and cant wait to get stuck in! I have always wondered if viewers liked that bit. Its nice to hear that you do. I think its an important bit of the vid as you get some idea of how it taste and looks when I cut into the food. Thanks for the comm. Its very much appreciated :-) Original Naked Chef

@FlypaperGirl Although I have never tried it myself, you should be able to use finely ground mince meat maybe pork. Mix with egg and breadcrumbs. Then form the shape around the eggs the same as I did with the sausage. Happy New Year OriginalNakedChef
@cocobrownallaround Thanks for coming back to me. It was good that you found my channel and I hope you enjoy some of the recipes. Speak with you soon OriginalNakedChef

@Ravenfire385 They really are nice and you can use different sausages. When I have made them, they dont hang around for very long! Why not give them a try? Thanks for the comms OriginalNakedChef
Josie, we made these today based on his video. I had some homegrown pork sausage, but you could use Jimmy Dean sold by the pound or something similar. It worked pretty well. We got 8 eggs into one lb of meat.
Made my first Scotch Eggs today - Loved them! These are good dipped in a bit of mustard, too! Thanks for making the videos, what a fun way to learn new cooking techniques and recipes.
Wow,! we don't have anything like this in the U.S. so i found a british pub that had them and they were ummm o.k.. so I tried your recipe and WOW!!! so good!!!! I found a new snack to take with me to work...... Thanks much OrigionalNakedChef
@TheLegitShits Hi there chef, I personally do not use a dipping sauce. I guess you could use something that would go with sausage and eggs. How about simple red sauce (ketchup)or brown sauce maybe fruity. Your choice on that one. Thanks for watching the vids and very nice to hear from you. If you find a make the perfect sauce for the scotch eggs, let me know :) OriginalNakedChef
Hahaha Jamie, really nice video there, the memories, Pizza Hawaii, soggy toast a la Chef (with canned mushrooms and cream), the big pepper mill omnipresent! Maybe you remember my good friend Johann Lafer from the ZDF team in Germany - it's been a long way since then, still, lovely to watch your early years, bit sad but happy to see the progress and I like what you're doing to enrich people with your knowledge. All the best my friend, keep at it, where there is a will you'll surely find the way!
@aquariusdawning Hi there aquariusdawning , Thanks for your comments. They are good tips for anyone wanting to cook them in the oven. Much appreciated :-) OriginalNakedChef
@1969MsMercedes They are really tasty and would go down very well at your pot luck lunch at work. Lots of people have heard of them but never tried them. Maybe you could cut them in half so everyone gets a piece :) If you are looking for another idea, I have a Spanish omelette that is usually very popular to share. Thanks for watching and good luck with the lunch! OriginalNakedChef
A good video, simple instructions and easy to follow. Very instructive. I just adore scotch eggs ever since making them in cookery class at the age of 11 back in the seventies ;)
@cainey66 I do not have a deep fryer so I cannot speak from personal experience. I do however know that you can deep fry scotch eggs. I have read that you should place the scotch eggs in gently and fry them around 350 to 365 degrees F until deep golden brown. The other thing that you could do if using a deep fat fryer, is to add an extra half a sausage to each scotch egg to thicken them up. Try one first to make sure all is well. Nice to hear from you. Let me know how you get on.
@yasswah I hope you enjoy the scotch eggs and very nice to hear you like my vids :) Have you watched my Indian spiced scotch eggs they are a nice alternative to the traditional ones :) Thanks again OriginalNakedChef
