    Love it. 15+10 seems perfect to express your thoughts while still having a reasonably long video

  • @StormSong8

    This is the first time I saw Jerry play someone who had a better head-to-head record than him.

    • @black_squall
      @black_squall 6 лет назад +2

      It's difficult to find high time control games with highly rated opponents.

    • @aleattorium
      @aleattorium 6 лет назад

      On a more long time game? Because of 3-min and 1-min championships he eventually plays with stronger players. That even happened in the first game of the previous video.

    • @StormSong8
      @StormSong8 6 лет назад

      True, I've seen him play higher rated players than himself in tournaments, but never someone with an actual better head-to-head record. Some guys were close, like Penguingm, but this is the first time I saw someone with a 3-game edge.

    • @black_squall
      @black_squall 6 лет назад

      Certainly penguingm has a better head to head record in all time controls?

    • @StormSong8

      Not that I saw on the bottom of the screen. At least I don't remember having seen that.

    These standard games are the best! I find hearing your thought process in real time to be incredibly instructive. Sometimes it's instructive for the specific position, but mostly just to hear the things you think about, see where you devote your attention, etc. Thanks Jerry!

    Wow, very tense game, came down to the wire there. One thing I'd like to suggest though; whenever your opponent requests a rematch you seem to always ignore the request. I think it would be better just to decline immediately instead of leaving them hanging indefinitely.

    • @zifircin1797

    • @PushyPawn
      @PushyPawn 6 лет назад +2

      I believe if your rematch offer is not accepted after 10-15 secs, move on. The opponent could be doing what Jerry was, recording or off to the bathroom or off for a smoke etc..

    I know I"m late, but this is Unbelievable!!!!!!! No super tactics, no fancy stuff, nothing... Just slowly suffocating him. Also, I like how you made a "house" for yourself LOLLLLL.
    Bro when you said "I just want him to stay outside of my house", then the black queen quietly backed off. LMFAO. You literally made an impenetrable base.
    Very educational. Learned a lot from you.

    Tnx very much for new standard game Jerry!. They are my favorites :) Really missed those games, and thought maybe u gave up on them. So glad to see, u are back with this stuff. Oh and btw, really great game, u simply squeezed your opponent. Just like Aron Nimzowitsch said- restrict, block and then destroy. The point is, that when u have a big space advantage, u'll always find some tactics eventually. Really gg

    I prefer these longer games when you can share your thought process and play. Maybe you are not saying everything that comes through your mind, but I think this is a good point of balance. Really fast games are also fun to watch, but I imagine that you already know that people like to watch those. I would like to have a bit more of these.

    if he responds with Nxe5, you can dxc6, with Bxc6, Rxc6, and they are left with a hanging knight that is attacked, or instead of rook taking on c6, dxe5, and you are up a pawn, yes?

    29:00 Wouldn't Rxf7 just be winning a pawn? If king takes, Qh5+ wins a pawn, and if queen takes, f4 is winning the pawn on g5 no? Or is being up a pawn not significant enough, and would lead to a draw instead?
