Now can you do the Japanese made Makita model and the Chinese Made Makita?
The Chinese one is only $40 local to me here in Massachusetts and I just scored one on marketplace brand new with plastic still on the discs and in box for $20. I'm a home improvement contractor and this cheaper metabo htp is just perfect for the price where I'm not worried about burning it up. There's no excuse for them to burn up like that on some damn tile! I love Makita and Milwaukee. Now there's a few newer brands and other not new that are very good but those are my favorite for my line of work.
You keep calling it Chinese. It's a Japanese tool. Most brands have most of their power tools manufactured in China, even German Metabo. Should we start calling Milwaukee "The Chinese made tools"? Metabo is a German tool company famouse for their grinders. Hikoki(Metabo HPT in the US) is a Japanese tool company famous for their nailers. Both companies have been around for ages and produce high end tools.

Owned by KKR and name now HIKOKI (hitachi power tools and Metabo)
They are ....they just don't know how to use Google..... original metabo is German otherwise it's all Japan
the HPT shit is different. it’s hitachi. not metabo.
Dude you look just like harry dean stanton.
hitachi factory vs metabo factory
They are now HiKOKI or METABO HPT already.
Those Hitachi grinders (or Metabo hpt) are running about $49.00 at Lowes all the time. They are great grinders. But you are making an a[pples to oranges comparison, German Metabo would better compare with Hilti or Festool.
good review, I would definitely buy the German made.
Below freezing where you are!
These are not similar models or similar power ratings, comparing them is of no use
Someone’s gonna lose a digit. That cut should have taken 15 to 20 seconds.
The Chinese one appears to be junk
Not worth 3x the price
I have to argue otherwise
Specially if u have to use it daily for multiple hours
Chinese Metabo is $39 at Loews
You're actually comparing a home version vs a pro version. In any brand that is going to be a difference. Is like when you compare a VW vs an Audi. Your comparison is just ridiculous
both made in china
