      Indeed, British flights are immune to turbulence - or to the laws of physics for that matter. And what has the amount of stuff in the overhead lockers to do with it? Was there any suggestion that the deceased was hit by a loose item? The person who died probably crashed into the ceiling of the plane, not minding the warning about seat belts.

    Sad news for the dead and injured. But I had to switch off when that silly cow piped up about climate change.

      Is turbulence not linked to climate change?

    • @t._._._.
      @t._._._. 23 дня назад

      @@Sam-mi6cz Nope. 'Climate change' is a narrative; the climate changes by the second and the earth is in one of the coldest periods experienced during the last 10,000 years. Solar radiation causes turbulence, and the last dozen years or so has seen radiation decreasing.

    Clear Air Turbulence will increase as the climate warms up, a recent study of data covering the last 40 years by scientists at the university of Reading point to the fact that injury causing CAT has increased by 55%.

      @t._._._. 23 дня назад +1

      The reason there are more reported incidents is the increase in number of flights. Solar radiation which caues turbluence is actually lower now than the last dozen years or so, so that argument does not stand.

    Of course, all these climate alarmists have conveniently forgotten to mention that it is the start of the monsoon season across India and much of Southeast Asia! Extremely turbulent air due to high humidity and temperatures, leading to major thunderstorms, particularly at high altitudes; but never mind, their narratives must be pushed' regardless!
