“Obedient Servant” is one of the best and most underrated songs in Hamilton, and I think it can be justified as a villain song. Although Burr isn’t really the true villain of Hamilton, at least up until this point, I think that this song is the turning point of him becoming somewhat of the villain. And honestly the whole song itself feels like a villain song, from the lyrics, to the melody, and even the part where they feign respect until the very end. This song is so amazing and I could talk about it forever but honestly you should just go listen to it for yourself.

"Hell Fire" terrified me so much as a child I was truly unable to watch this damn movie for 20+ years, it literally would play in the background of my nightmares.
I recently watched the Hunchback of Notre Dame for the first time in a while and yeah Hellfire is an amazing villain song, it made me feel genuinely disgusted in Frollo’s character and the combination of the vocals, lyrics, instrumental and visuals give you goosebumps. Just goes to show how great of a villain Frollo is and how great the Hunchback of Notre Dame is.

I was and am a huge fan of VeggieTales, it sums up my childhood. And seeing Oh No, What We Gonna Do (Probably my favorite VeggieTales song by the way) in number 20, was pure nostalgia, and I love that it was included.

I think its probably because its a cover and not an original song for the movie.
I do think there's a difference between "villain song" and "song a villain sings". Love is an Open Door isn't really a villain song, for example, even though the villain does sing it. While I Need A Hero is a great experience, it's not really about her or her plans, she's just singing it 'cause.

I would say "The Plagues" from Prince of Egypt is a villain song, as it digs into the duality of the relationship of the brothers, which can be argued as the actual antagonist of the film. and it's ten times better than "Playing With the Big Boys Now". It was basically the first version of "How Bad Can I Be" that was cut because it was *clears throat* "too dark", but it's simply a powerful rock opera that touches on the route of the problem of greed. It honestly hit me as powerfully as "Hellfire" I'm not joking.
