Just picked up mine today 9/16/22 First Honda ever. I fell in love with it immediately. The steering feels solid and the CVT feels smooth. Sound system in this car is great, too. My only complaint is the amount of road noise you hear when driving at high speeds and no blind spot monitoring. Other than that driving in this thing is fun as hell.
I’m not as much of a fan of Honda cars anymore but I still like seeing what every maker is putting out. Great review. Lower trims should be reviewed also which is hard to find on RUclips. Not everyone cares to have the top trims and would like to see what the cars are like in lower to mid trims.
Good review bro. All Honda vehicles are good stuff. If you care more about performance, Civic SI is great. If you care about economy with a bit of comfort, Civic EX is good. If y'all want comfort over economy and sport, go Accord EX. If ya need to go in snow, get a CR-V or Pilot. Honda offers many models to fit a man's desires perfectly. :-)
I purchased a Honda Civic LX instead of a EX because I wanted a 6 speed manual. Great Gas mileage and fun to drive. The entertainment system is horrible. But I still really like our Honda.

15:37 I hit a few speed bumps like that on my pick up when I was younger and more careless... boy did I regret it a few years later when the suspension gave and I needed to have it completely replaced. Won’t repeat that mistake.
It’s all about the money , higher end models nice but look if you can get ex instead of xl. Look it March 2022 I just got the 2019 30,000 miles so thumbs up

Don't you think moving from 16" tyres to 17" tyres had quite a large impact on degrading ride quality ? Because I've got the 2017 EX with the 16s and it's very comfortable.

The chrome killlllllls me.. If I were getting a '19 model I'd probably end up wrapping that. Same with the rear lower valence. Or replace it with a 16-18 one.
Is the glovebox lockable? It didn't seem like it unfortunately. I live in a city where car break ins are rampant. I need a lockable glovebox to secure my belongings some times.
I remember my old supervisor Lorenzo from 24 years ago was into Honda products. I'm sure he'd love this car or the Accord. If my eyes don't keep me from renewing my license later this year, my next car will likely be a Honda Civic. It would probably be the 2.0 though. Not sure I trust turbo boosted engines. The CVT will also likely take a bit of getting used to, if my experience with those in rental cars I've had is any indication (Nissan Maxima and Toyota Corolla). I wouldn't mind getting a stick again, if I could. Automatics and CVTs are convenient but boring.
What kills me is that Honda still refuses to make LED headlights standard on all trim level. It’s cheaper than shit and yet they are making it an upper trim option. Stupid as Fock.
For that jolt you feel when letting off, I noticed it before in sport gear in my Sport Touring, but since the oil dilution fix I've noticed it in drive, it's kind of a nice "hey I'm an aggressive car" feel but honestly I wish it was only in sport, would rather have the smooth drive when I want it. I figure it's to get or keep temps up, since the dilution was more prevalent in the cold.

I bought the Civic in 2016. I am glad the subsequent models look almost identical to the 2016 so my car from outward appearances still looks current.

It’s excellent car! 25 dollars to fill it. However it gets tight during long rides that’s my down fall. Good car going back and forth to work.

There definitely is a difference. It also depends on the thickness of the sidewall as well.
@@BernonCars Yes that's exactly my point. The sidewall is considerably smaller on the 17s since the tyre is 215/50, as compared to 215/55 on the 16s.

In Canada only si and touring have 1.5l turbo , rest all trims comes with 2.0l I-vtec engines , I think in USA ex is equipped with 1.5l turbo
