Hi Tina, thanks for watching and for your comment. With the larger “tulip style” muffins I put them in oven for a max 5 mins at 220c/425f then bring that right back to 185c/365f and bake for another 19 - 23 minutes. As a general rule of thumb when you start to smell the baked muffins they are ready - but you can always use a cake tester to check if they are baked through or press the surface - if it returns to shape afterwards it’s perfect. Hi, after some requests shortly after posting I did attempt to find the cups equivalent measurements - tried three batches of muffins using the closest equivalent cup measures but none of them worked as well as the metric measurements. Too soggy in the middle, not rising into the beautiful dome shape and another batch that looked fine but didn't taste as they should. I have no wish to post a recipe that doesn't provide the result I desire or show in the video. There is a degree of accuracy in metric measurements which I find - just my personal opinion and experience - brings consistent results and I find this especially true when baking desserts and cakes versus say savoury dishes where I find you can just add a bit of this and a bit of that and it all comes together wonderfully. If you know of any conversion tables or formulas that work please do let me know and I will update and post - I tried a few online but as mentioned the results were poor. Thanks for watching though!

I want to make bakery style muffins which are the larger type of muffins. What temperature should they be cooked and for how long? Great first video!

With the larger “tulip style” muffins I put them in oven for a max 5 mins at 220c/425f then bring that right back to 185c/365f and bake for another 19 - 23 minutes.
