      Well, tell her I am sorry. If it comes to buying motorcycles and you can do it, I'm all for it.......I have three of my own and another 3 for the kids. Yeah, Salt Lake County is inner city for me. I am from a small town where pretty much everyone knows everyone and the common speed is below 20mph and folks stop their cars in the middle of the road to talk to each other. So that is inner city for me. 😂

    You’re right Matt. It’s all about comfort leading to confidence.
    I did a little riding off-road yesterday on a single track road in the desert and I was totally comfortable on my TW200. .
    On the CRF300L that I had the 6th gear was awesome for keeping up with traffic on the highways.
    My dream bike would be the CRF engine and transmission in the TW200 frame - but that’s just wishful thinking.

    • @MOBStreet83
      @MOBStreet83  2 года назад +1

      Same for me John! I think if the Yamaha had an engine and trans similar to that CRF300L or even a 350cc and six speed Yamaha would have an even more popular motorcycle than what the TW already is.

    I agree with your points. I have owned both and currently have the TW. For anyone wanting to know what the off road comparison might look like, my CRF250L felt much heavier and it was, weighing in at 320, which is 42 pounds more. That extra weight really showed and added to the higher center of gravity. The CRF250L is less suited for off road. I also thought that 1st gear on the CRF250L is too high but better suited for the street. I'm not a tall guy either, only 5' 9", and the lower seat height of the TW works well for me. I just turned 70 so the low and slow TW seems just right. Love your videos.

    Nice job Matt! I agree with you and John Post. I’d love to ride a 300 cc, 6-speed TDub. It would probably be perfect. I do really like mine, but I sometimes wish I had the extra power. Most of the time, it’s enough. But sometimes I’d like that extra.

    I've had both bikes. My first bike was a 2013 TW200. Then, I purchased a 2018 Crf250l. I kept both bikes for over a year, alternating between the two. I came to the conclusion the TW200 felt more like a two wheel ATV. The pros for the TW200 is its lighter weight, lower seat height, better seat for a passenger, and better passenger pegs. It's a better trail crawler. Now, the pros for the Crf250l is more hp, more torque (I also put a 45 tooth rear sprocket on the Crf250l and that made a huge difference on the trails), more suspension travel, smoother suspension, better transmission, and a better instrument panel. The cons of the Crf250l is the weight of the bike. The cons of the TW200 is the lack of fuel injection and the heavy feel of the front end.

      I was actually thinking that the CRF would do even better with a bigger rear sprocket than stock. The only real down side to the CRF was the seat height and the comfort. Now I wanna see a trail riding comparison.. I don't mean going fast like motocross or racing
    your buddy . I would like to see a hill climb between the 2 starting at the very bottom And just crawling up from a dead stop. Then I'd like to see a comparison of riding on game trails on the side of a hill. Then I'd like to see climb a hill, stop in the middle and turn around and go back down. My guess is going to be the Yamaha out does the Honda.

      @@MOBStreet83 I don't think people really know the difference and how to use the 2 bikes. I'd like to see how slow you could ride a trail without pulling in the clutch and Stalling the bike out. Darting at the bottom of a steep hill that has some traction I'd like to see the bikes start out at a dead stop And without revenue engine and the RP m's up just start up the hill like you're at a stop sign. Also stop in the middle of a dirt hill that's steep and see which one is easier to turn around and get back down the hill. So the guy I gave a ride out of the desert claimed he could not push start it either Is that true. That TW has taken me up dirt hills that I can hardly walk up and going at a very slow pace. As long as that tire doesn't break loose that thing will go up as slow as slow can be. I think the Honda you would have to take a running start at some of the hills the TW can crawl up. And that's why you need to put it to the to the test. Because you are the man the the myth the legend. Happy trails bro

      @@MOBStreet83 that's interesting. I wonder how the tw200 compares to the xr150. I noticed the xr150 was much more comfortable feeling than the crf300l rally even. Seems stupid the better bikes can't get more comfortable seats to me. Better as in more powerful I mean. The TW is a great bike I'm sure and in it's own ways better than many others. I wish they had a bike built similar that's a 350 or so. Maybe even a 400.
