Love the content. Following all 1v1 steamers and i want to say that after watching people for many games you learn their tendencies. Your issue is being unflexible when it comes to your game priorities. I will name especially keeping 100% road length alive during entire game, prioritising ore over all other resources in all games on all boards, always prioritizing devs over cities /expansions/ securing roads positions. You need some variation from your tendencies on some boards or at least consider alternatives to not be tunnelvisioned/blindsighted by them.
Phantom goat. I like the phantom. Phantom yes very cool. Good job! Thanks for all the daily content and cheerful vibes. Very cool and awesome phantom yes
Did getting a city and settle ever cross your mind at 14:58? And if so, why is it not a good option? Is the knight more important? Getting wood port earlier seems huge too
I think you lost that second game when you tried to hold army and road. When you connected, there was no need, you should've gone down to another 3 hex, than later you wouldve had double settle but you ended up porting your life away with 4:1's.
Definitely unlucky in that 2nd to last game, but I think you got too locked in on holding army. After you pulled the 2nd VP and a RB, I feel like you should have given up army, built roads and settlements and cities. 4-1ing the brick and woods for devs cost you road in the end.
Less than 2 minutes talking about Redrom followed by looking at the leaderboard. Yeah the quote may be unnecessary, but some people clearly like it if they asked for it to come back. If all you come for is catan gameplay then you can fast forward
no one would ever say this to someone who plays chess.. why does Catan have this treatment 😭. expend as much time as necessary, tilt the other opponent as a bonus, do what you need to win
There’s a time limit per turn for a reason… Phantom plays at a reasonable pace and is methodical in his thinking. Who cares how fast he plays when it’s a strategical game that requires thinking. Buzz off
Hey guys I have been too 25 and played all the best guys and no one even comes close to Phantom in how long they take…I think it’s a unwritten rule to play fast and I hope the game does evolve to chess where decisions have to be made much faster….
There’s always gonna be someone criticizing. I feel like calling out toxic players is completely reasonable. Great video as always!

What others streamers should I watch?
@risenjoker923 phantom, the wanderer and it'sokkcatan are the most recommendable ones. Nice streamers, good players and entertaining to watch.
@alinbacanu9111 is the Wanderer good at 1v1s? I'll check out it'sokcatan.
Some days that's how the dice roll. For every 10 win streak you can go on a 4 game losing streak and still be a +70% win rate.

That first game would have made me throw my laptop out the window

When the losses come they hit hard. Sometimes the game is just like you are not winning today. If I lose 2 iar I stop usually to avoid tilting haha.
24:00 not sure why you not playing knight here?
Your hand is laoded with brick, you need that wood unlocked
17:55 you could have popped and settled and fully cleared hand, everything else was played well, just unlucky with the rolls that game

Those 6's were crazy.
You threw away road in the 2nd game not extending and then had 2 brick stolen.
insane rolls

Why do folks not put robber on their opponent at first in these games?
friendly robber
How does a balanced dice produce the first game’s distribution? Feels like false advertisement..
dude should have went for the ore port... and this tends to lose post games because hes to greedy to port for what he needs...
Yesterday I lost dead winning spot. Guy rolls 6 7s to my 1 my one was at end of game my last turn
I remember. You were crying the whole game.

First!
Jezus,,,,, first 3m 50s doxing an idiot following it up with some fortune cookie quote. But you do a nice job playing the 1v1 format so theres that
Maybe end the vid with the quote so I can skip it

Bro you gotta start playing a bit faster.. I would be going crazy playing against you.. I get it but just make a decision and move on
Well he’s in the top ranks for a reason…
Its not quite as easy when thousands of people will view and critique your every decision. I think I play at a reasonable pace.
