9:25 I think going to 4-5-11 from 5-6-9 stops him from cutting your road and ends the first game a lot faster. Same cost as what you did and same production.
For the second game, I wonder if the 5 4 11 + 8 10 3 would be better, it keeps the opponent off the monster 8 10 5 spot, but also takes away the 8 3 4 spot for them.
What do you think of villain taking 843, but pointing left for the plow? If you play the road to protect 11,10,3 he can probably double road and plow to the 10,9,5. Even if you get an early 11 and protect both spots, it’s so slow. I think his mistake was not using his road material advantage at all.
Nah you are right. He almost always wins if he dumps the sheep and 3 wood. Cause you can see on the wood pile that there is at least 6 wood, and since he has 4, his opponent must have at least 2, out of his 3 cards. So just keep the wheat to port for brick and steal the wood and its two perfect roads.
It is possible to get 17 but I think the only way is to be on 14 and then settle on top of your opponents longest road, cutting them off so that you take road and get a settle 14+3=17 point win.
Felt sorry for the first guy, he had the better setup. Unlucky devs

Is it possible to get 17 points in 1v1? Or is 16 the max?
