Enjoyable watch, thanks for streaming and posting it to YT. I think you played a pretty good series on the whole. But above all it had your trademark entertainment value which -win or lose- is what a lot of us come here for. Good luck with your future competitive matches! #spoilerfreecomment
1:59:38 dyl i think you had potential ore for sheep trades with red earlier on as well. He can just trade away ores with the bank 2:1 and you might as well take one when you can
nice games but you need to put your opponents on normal volume. Why put yourself so loud and others so low??? If I want to hear them i need to put my speakers on max and then when you talk its insane loudness. your opponents talking is so funny, they are so dumb and its easy content just them complaining in vc, but its so hard to hear please just do audio normally, if you need them to shut up to talk to the stream then u can deafen them on discord
I see 3 reasons, I think Dylan explained two of them: 1. Brick was very valuable at that point and if he leaves 1 Brick in hand, he will be the rob target. So it attracts an early block which can be pretty destructive for your game. 2. Dylan looks (and is) really strong with the wood port. He will just get robbed over and over, so getting to the Ore later will be really slow. 3. It completely kills Red's game, which is mostly their fault tbh but it's not the best play for the board to guarantee someone the loss so early on. Maybe they'll spite block you at some critical moment and completely wreck you. It's not really worth it. I think Dylan made the right call here, but he could have maybe drawn a card from Red to give them the Wood port.
I know you already know this, but it’s worth emphasizing: you should create a product for your audience that generates income while you sleep. Honestly, I wouldn’t see it as selling out if you launched a course. In fact, you already have most (if not all) the knowledge someone would expect from a course scattered throughout your videos. Right now, your content is like breadcrumbs-each video has golden nuggets of wisdom needed to become a top-tier Catan player. A course would take all those crumbs and turn them into a perfectly baked loaf: a single, digestible, and curated resource for your audience. People would pay for the convenience of having everything they need in one place. While your videos are already entertaining and valuable on their own, a course would save your viewers the time and effort of sifting through countless videos to find those nuggets. It’s about delivering the content they want in the most efficient way possible. Merch is another idea-maybe not something you’ve considered before, but why not? People love supporting creators they admire and engaging with more content in different formats. Whether it’s a well-designed T-shirt, a mug, or custom Catan-themed items, your audience would likely be excited to rep your brand. Ultimately, creating products like this would give you more breathing room. It would let you work on your business instead of constantly working in it. The more you scale and diversify your offerings, the more freedom you’ll have to focus on creating content you love without the pressure of relying solely on video views.
34:09 Are they? They lost army, their second city quality is trash and they lost one of their expansion spots. The only way they stand a chance is by pulling at least two VPs.
Dude is reviving catan single handily

Why not take the wood port first'? Last match?

Because the 9-4 is obviously a massively better spot.

Funny table in the last game
in the first game, wouldnt it be best to take road at the end to increase your point percentage?
Yeah I thought tournament ranking is in part based on total/avg. VPs. In which case you should always go for 11 points if you can make it.
And, yes, it turns out that this VP was really quite important given how close things were.
Im new but i dont understand why you dont value the numbers that much, like sure, go 3 11 12 but those numbers are rarely rolled so what is the point?
I don't get why you didn't plow blue in that last game. You had it in your hand even without the wood port service. Am i missing something?
Because he would burn all his cards to take road for an orbit or two. Pretty clear that black will take road from him.
The hair 😂 bring back the chain!
38:18 Your opponents have shown very little coperation. You should seriously consider road-road-settle on 6-12 for the win next turn.
34:09 Are they? They lost army, their second city quality is trash and they lost one of their expansion spots. The only way they stand a chance is by pulling at least two VPs.
You had the win the turn you counted 7 roads when they had 6. With 8 ore 2 brick.
Hey Dylan! Do you have any interest in playing 1v1?
red was so done in that second game xD
Man the level of these tournament games is ridiculously low these days.
dylighted i love your videos but you have to be more aware of your sniffling, it drives me nuts :)
how very considerate of you
Yeah I saw this comment before watching and at the start it wasn't bad, but by the end I guess his cold got worse. Anyway, invest in tissues bro! ;)
game 1 pluck from red and win
Squash is so annoying
