- Anxious Devotion is a song for those who go into their quiet times with burdens in hand. We serve a God who miraculously accepts us as we are- anxious, imperfect, and frail. When I went to my piano to write this I was in an unsettled place, and the music and lyrics poured out. Weeks later, I went to class and showed a few of my friends the song, and we all sat down to finish writing it together. We knew there was something special about it- the rawness of the lyrics that exposed our quiet times weren't always as perfect as we made it seem... The reality is our quiet time is where went to pour out the groanings of our weary soul- many days limping to get there. Without fail, the Holy Spirit reminds us that it is only the presence of God that lightens our burdens... by His grace he meets us right where we are and draws near...

Taylor, I broke down crying hearing this. I've been through so many trials; it leaves me exhasuted. My Bible time has seem forced. I've had small panic attacks. Recently, the Lord worked a miracle towards a goal of my family's for which I'm grateful. But in the process there was a lot of hurt, discouragement, disappointment. I'm still trying to process this on top of everything else. This song made me feel loved by my Heavenly Father and I want to thank you and your friends for sharing this with me and everyone else. Okay this is going straight to my worship song playlist and that's saying something because I have pretty high standards for this stuff. A lot of traditional/popular worship songs just don't do it for me most of the time. Idk a lot of them come off as overly happy and sugarcoated sometimes which really doesn't help when you're going through hard times, but this was truly beautiful. Bravo!👏
