Like Kid Dracula did for Castlevania, Wanpaku Graffiti brings Splatterhouse to the NES with kid-friendly imagery and a lot of style. It's an excellent platformer, and a great pick for anyone wanting a good retro game this Halloween.
Isn't it strange we never got these parody style games in the west? Parodius, Kid Dracula, Wanpaku Graffiti. Hell, I'm surprised that we got Mighty Final Fight.
During the scenes where you get the orbs, pressing a button will make Rick do some pretty juvenile things, and leads to alternate text. It’s nothing too special, but given the less serious nature of this parody, it’s still something.
@@jessehaaland7689 You never heard of the Splatterhouse reboot back in 2010 for the PS3 and XBOX 360? It plays like the original God of War, but it's everything that Splatterhouse isn't.
"but the controls feel the same as in the 16-bit versions" I strongly disagree. This one controls great. SH 1 and 2 have some of the stiffest, most cumbersome controls known to man.

The secret ending states that IT IS connected to the splatterhouse series after all.
Hippity hoppity Wanpaku Graffiti is now my Property.
One of my favourite Famicom exclusives, without a doubt. Lots of cool references to horror films, well-known musical acts and such in this!
It just doesn't get much more classic than "BE GARBAGE OF CESSPOOL". I love this game!
A child vampire flipped us off about ninety seconds into the video. Very cool.
Lol

Well, we did get Alex Kidd in Shinobi World. Japan never got that.
We got Kid Dracula, the Game Boy version at least.
I hope I'm lucky enough to be buried with my axe and hockey mask, just like this guy!
You probably can. If you request, the funeral home is obligated to honor your last wishes.
Loved this game. The silhouette at 16:15 definitely looks like cropsey from the burnings film poster
This game is also in Namco Museum Archives vol.1 for Nintendo Switch.

27:29 This prefaces / foreshadows the film Wes Craven's New Nightmare. You'll see exactly why.
That's amazing
I love the Sega Genesis game of this!never seen this game.

27:01 Did he curse?
never played this one, but looks a bit tedious, as some of the 8-bit games tend to be...
graveyard
sewer
home
lake
camp
canyon
splatter house
