      It does look a little off bro. Make sure that the color settings on your monitor is something generic. I’ve spent hours color grading and it looked good on my monitor but then on my iPhone it looked way off.
      I always use the Generic rgb 1998 on my Mac’s

    I’ve had clients tell me it’s not about the money. They just care about quality work, how they are treated, how punctual you are, and taking responsibility. When I’m going to be late, I let them know asap. When a client makes a simple request, you accommodate. When a new client calls you, be professional. Be the best you can be. Things like that makes the difference in being able to charge more.

      Man that is spot on. If you take care of your customer and have excellent communication, you can charge whatever you want. Word will spread. Elderly folks I will pick their car up for them and return it. Customer for life.

    This is so important for those of us running a detailing business. If a customer tries to negotiate my price lower I tell them if price is their top priority then they should find a kid on Craigslist to detail their vehicle. I explain the steps I go through to produce high quality results and do not budge on my price quote. About 80% of the time I end up detailing their vehicle.

    I quoted a customer the other day for a full detail (he also wanted water spots removed, black vehicle) total cost I quoted was $435 ($200 for exterior and $235 for interior) and he asked just for a premium wash instead 😂
    I’m not sure what amount he was expecting but we no longer to $100 dollar details sir
    Still managed to get a service out of him lol

      Yeah people are just amazing. They act like we are a 14 yr old neighbor with dish soap and a beach towel offering them a roadside courtesy.

    A simple way I manage expectations is to strategically use the word "guarantee". No reasonable person is going going to look you in the eye and expect a 100% guarantee of showroom condition. So as I ask them about their concerns, I let them know that I never guarantee how specific issues are going to come out. Then I let them know that I do actually guarantee at least 80% improvement overall, which is more quantifiable and gives a better mental picture than to say something like "10 times better". If that doesn't make them happy, I have ways of suggesting they go to another shop ;)

    Very good advice! My experience in business changed dramatically after I began to charge more. I started to attract better customers. Obviously with higher prices, people expect great outcomes, but I was offering those great outcomes with lower prices. We should get paid more for quality.

    I have a question that i been struggling and thinking do i have to charge the customer the price no matter how the car is or do i have to see the car and see how dirty it is and charge a little more or what do i do

    A good line I like to use for disaster carpet is ‘you’re going to pay me the same amount to clean this as you would spend on new carpet being installed.’

    What people don’t understand is that they’re paying to have their vehicle’s condition reset to as new as possible in a very short amount of time (3-5 hours normally). They’re also paying for your experience, the tools you’ve paid for, the equipment, the products, all of that factors into pricing. There’s is so much that goes into “the detail” that people don’t think about.
    Like, I’m showing up to their house with THOUSANDS in equipment and products (past & current) under my belt, the least they could do is properly compensate

    Great info . Do you guys have issues with Customers and the seats being soiled down for cleaning and still wet after you all leave the job? are those extractors (if that's what you call them? I've never used one) that good at sucking out all the moisture / water from the cleaners etc? (anyone can answer) Just curious , thanks! Wish you all the best!

      They use fans to dry the seats bro and as for extracting it just depends how much time you spend sucking it up

    Got a question, what if the customer's car is dirty with the other type of stiff lock vomit stuff like that shoukd you charge more for that type of stuff ir refuse that work all together?

      Within my business I charge more: $15, $25 in excessive cases and I use personal protection equipment while working on it. Hopes this helps

    How do you go about scaling up your prices as your business grows? Is it just about having those customers who are happy to pay more for more premium services. Say you were doing ext detail for $50 at the start to generate revenue but now want to start charging $70 or $100 to the same client, how do you justify that?

      That’s a great question. I am also just starting my own business in mobile detailing industry and would like to know the answer to your question as well. Obviously you wanna attract your customers by charging less than what others charge to start off however you also have to raise your prices as you gain more experience and offer more services.       you will lose some but most will stay. Charge a little more for previous customers say $60 and the new ones $70 and up

      Just be confident in your worth bro. Don’t back down in negations, and communicate well. Deliver a superior product and they won’t argue.

      i would like to know the answer to this too. i would say all you have to do is tell the customer 'we have updated our pricing as our business has been growing and we are confident in our end product therefore our service is worth the price adjustment". But, I know it can be difficult to convince the customer, my best advice is do whatever you can to stay out of digging yourself into a hole with justifications and details.

      Maybe dont give all the services to them when youre starting out. Offer basics. Then when uou have alk the gear you want to have, then charging more makes mire sense.

    People are willing to pay thousands of dollars for their cars...but dont wana pay a few hundred to keep them clean. You need to know your self worth....as a business owner you and your business both need to be profitable...you gotta charge higher prices for all the time and effort you are putting into detailing....you not working for free...nor are you a charity...you will get customers that are willing to pay...get the right mindset and marketing

      You need to charge more. How long are your details? Value your time man. But you got to make sure you are doing a good job that you are also worth more than 100. Some people won’t like it but those aren’t the customers you want.

    man i do detail on weekends for some extra cash..everything you did, i do on every interior detail, and looks just as good .$20 an hour, after 4 hours i charge $15.00 an hour…never had a detail more than 5 hours….and i live in farm country where lots of dirty ride. i get this is ur main income but thats insane you charging that much…smh.

      @@zzzarkka ive learned though, people always pay u more if the works good…i also dont have all the fancy equipment and stuff..just a 120 hoover spot cleaner, some super clean, a few different cleaning chemicals, a rubber brush to get all the hair outta seata, and a like 4-5 different fragrences i spray once done…whatever they want.

    We are located in Houston,TX right down the street from this guy, we are new & we charge about 35% less then him. Long story short is, he gets 100s of leads a week through his SEO marketing & refferals. There is no shortcut to acheving this guys. He undercharged for years as well as he amassed the funds & knowledge to step his game up. Its all about hardwork & consistency. When your getting 100 leads a week your able to turn away 90 of them to get the customers that will pay the prices YOU want to charge. Its not because your competitiors work is better or because they communicates better or none of the 9mins of monetized watch time he just accrued. "Monetized" watch time brings us to another topic. "Personal Finances" Detail Groove is a monetized channel, R3 detailing is a profitable business & his SEO marketing classes Im assuming are not free. This means that this gentleman has built himself 3 different streams of income that we know of. That gives him more power to turn away "unqualified leads" All of the above is what I expected to hear when I clicked this video..... I recommend Yvan LaCroix's channel if you want to learn from a 40+ year detailing guru about how to improve your business. Cheers.
