@@bigcheese9383 I still say A.D. is the true G.O.A.T. of boxing trainers, but Cus D'Amato was a great boxing trainer also as he lead Floyd Patterson and Mike Tyson (among various other great champions) to become the heavyweight champion of the world at 21 and 20 respectively.
Thank you, Kevin. I'm a musician from east germany. After the wall came down I went yearly to Florida. I gave away my english CD's to friends over there. One reached a film production studio- they liked my music- but they thought it's music from an american musician in the first place. (made me proud). Then when they found out they asked for using my music. So this film reached me and after years of waiting where the production appeares I made this step to upload it. Greetings Juergen.
At 26:00 the guy says Liston Pounded Ali during the " blind round" Not true! Ali skillfully kept Liston at arm's length for most of the round; then he could see Liston and recommenced the 'Whuppin'".
When you watch the Ali vs Cooper fight 1, Ali only had FIVE seconds extra. That's 5 seconds longer than the 1 minute rest. And I don't think Cooper would have knocked Ali out regardless.
Truth Hitman Correct mate!! It's always amazed me how the time between rounds 4 & 5 kept getting stretched out over the years. I've stated this on many occasions and you're the 1st person who's realised the truth as I've always seen it. :)
The fight was under the control of the bbbc , home ground for cooper , you know you have to get a ko to get a draw away from home and yet there was no objections from coopers corner .... cooper also lived off it for the rest of his life without really telling the truth and he did know ...Ali got caught acting a fool but then when the next round came the round he had called he was all business....all these ifs smh, so what the bell "saved" him , well this the rules many many many fighters have been saved by the bell...Cooper seriously really had only one win against a class fighter in Zora Folley which many say Folley won but Folley made no mistake in the rematch .....as for Enrys fabled hammer well he couldn't knock out Patterson with his weak chin ....I grew up "with" cooper as a presence , Brut and all that and to me all that nice guy stuff smh I always found him pretty arrogant
Ray did have a fight before Hagler with lightly regarded Kevin Howard who knocked him down. Ray decided to not have a tuneup and go straight for Hagler.
Angelo was loyal to Ellis but he also got a bigger cut for the fight because he was the Manager and the corner man. Point is he got paid more being in Ellis's corner. Nothing wrong with that but let's not wrap a gold medal around his neck for being a stand-up guy. Remember he was Ali's manager too until Herbert Muhammad took over so there may have been a little resentment as well, and that's understandable too.
Thank you, Angie, for all you gave us. Godspeed....
have long attributed my love for the fight game to Angelo Dundee. What a man
Angelo Dundee is indeed the greatest boxing trainer of all-time:-)!!!!

I always heard this name Angelo Dundee when Ali was in ring .... A brilliant man indeed.
Met him at a Tampa Bay Rays Game. He was a Sweetheart of a Man

The split glove story is total bullshit, 5 sec not more. And all this half true stories.
It was true Ali is overrated
