I remember Ali saying he would never wind up like the older boxers back when he was in his early prime. I will never understand why he couldn’t retire after the Foreman fight like he said he would. It was just criminal to put him in the ring as a punching bag for Larry Holmes as his reflexes were shot and everyone knew it. Ali fought enough wars at that point to be seen not as 38 but more like 60 and I blame Holmes for taking the fight as well.

What I understand is Joe Frazier was one who helped Ali get his boxing license back. I found that out after watching a documentary about Ali.
