So excited for this- I have both Dramatic and Ethereal (which are technically opposite) and Romantic. Most of the content on Ethereal doesn’t express how it shows up in any WOC and always just focuses on “light coloring/low contrast” etc
Dramatic and ethereal, sounds difficult to style if you want to wear both. Especially when it comes to accessories. Flamboyant Natural here. Ethereal essence. They, too have a lot of opposite recommendations. When it comes to "light coloring and low contrast", this is relative to oneself and independent from ethnicity.
I’m Dramatic-Natrual-Ethereal and I found that the best way for me to honour all three together is to essentially base my wardrobe off of a sea witch (think dark mermaid, night, spooky). Sounds crazy but it works. I also think ethereal and dramatic can go really well together especially if you like a dark aesthetic.
Thank you this was so cool I’ve heard about these but all the images didn’t show black women so I wasn’t sure if I could consider myself either now watching this I know I’m likely a combination natural ethereal and I feel so good thinking about myself in the light of my essence it’s something that as a woman it makes me feel seductive and powerful and beautiful the more I lean into what feels natural for me for a lifetime I’ve sometimes felt I’m not the ultimate sexy woman prototype because I am not curvy tiny waiste big hips and chest. But I always knew I felt wild and free spirited and people would say I’m ethereal. But it never really added up for me because i would focus on what “sexiness”I didn’t have that other women did I felt a little like I’m not enough But now seeing this really hit home for me . Im like yes my natural beauty and structure is unique and powerful and I feel great being this essence .I don’t have to turn to tight clothes and feel uncomfortable and not know why. I need to be in free flowing items I’ve always known it inside but I was trying to fit in a box Thanks for describing things in your special way I feel so gorgeous
Kari Turner I totally understand you, the fact that I didn't fit in lead me to start digging deep to understand my unique beauty, and now I feel compelled to share my findings I am so happy you found this video helpful.
Thank you for yet a wonderful video. I am flamboyant natural in the Kibbe system, but ethereal (and some natural) in the Kitchener system. The recommendations can be quite opposite. Have anyone solved this dilemma, if they wish to incorporate essence to their Kibbe style? I also find the Kitchener style recommendations for the ethereal essence a bit ridiculous, if I can say, for normal life. I would love to hear other women's thoughts on this. Is there a subtle and elegant way to respect and highlight the ethereal essence, without making the look costumish? I would love to learn about make-up ideas for this essence, too. I personally have a warm skin tone and cannot use the colors recommend by Kitchener for this essence, but any input would be nice. Anyone?
